Who: Diana, Benjamin (possibly Jack if he feels so incline to pop up at some point)
Where: National Mall
When: Late afternoon

The weather had finally decided to turn springlike, for which Diana was grateful since she spent so much of her day outside or on a bus traversing the city, standing up and speaking into a microphone about all the lovely sights and historical trivia she had memorized ages ago. So what if sometimes she changed things up a bit and gave the not-so-historical trivia she had learned, most of these people would never know the difference and the juiciest stories were the ones that you couldn't fully corroborate anyway. Plus it got boring if she said the exact same things the exact same way every single time. For her and for her repeat customers.

Not that she got many of those and she saw so many people in a day it was unlikely she'd remember them if she did unless they stood out in some way. And this one? He stood out. He was adorable. So she made a point of going up to him after everyone had finally filed off the bus, "am I just that amazing or do you really like tour buses?"

Of course, she asked this with her cutest and you love me! smiles.

	Benjamin had to glance behind him, to make sure the Tour Guide wasn't addressing someone else. Once he was sure he was indeed the recipient of her advances, he smiled amiably. "In a manner of speaking, I do," he replied, soft accent only slightly noticeable. "And I enjoy your more...colourful variations on history." (Reply to this) (Thread)

Diana shrugged a little, still grinning, "people don't come to me to hear the unvarnished truth." Though she was always careful to caveat her stories with, a I just heard this but... so she wasn't entirely letting them go away thinking that was exactly the way history went down. They usually did anyway but that wasn't her fault, was it?

She held out her hand, "I'm Diana, by the way."

I'm thinking I might have to get my students to go on your tour and have them turn a paper in to me at the end with whether what you said was true or not. Make it a mid-term, or something..." 	"It's nice to meet you, Benjamin." She was nothing if not polite. Most of the time. Sometimes her mouth got away with her. At his suggestion about his students, Diana laughed delightedly, "that's an assignment I could get behind. I've got all sorts of stories I haven't even gotten into yet." 	He had to chuckle at that. "If you told them all to me now, I'd lose the benefit of the scenery that goes with them." Which also doubles as an answer to her first question. 	She didn't mind that answer in the least. "Fabulous!" she beamed. "Any preferences on where to go?" Just because he had an accent didn't mean he didn't know his way around town, she knew. So she was giving him the benefit of the doubt. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"You're staying in a hotel?" she tsked. That had to be expensive. "As far as some place new..." she tapped her chin for a moment and looked around. 	He was clearly amused at the forward behaviour, not really minding once he got over the suddenness of her actions. He offers another light shrug as he replies, "Only university that would take me, probably."
