Leaving for the TARDIS

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Where: The Doctor and Jack's room.
Who: The Doctor, Jack, Martha and Lizzie (locked, plzkthnx)

The Doctor pulls on his coat, the blue suit he came Here in, and looks around the room. He didn't need to bring anything back with him, he had everything he needed.

He was quite eager to get out of Here. Too long in one place, surrounded by memories he'd rather try to escape from.

"Right. All set," he says.

Lizzie is frantic, she has read the notice but there are so many things that she doesn't understand.

She leaves her room and heads out into the corridors to try and learn more. She reaches a window and the outsides look so different so unlike anything she's ever seen before, she stifles a cry and continues her search, there is only one person she trusts in this situation and she needs to find him.

The Doctor (OTA)

The Doctor and Lizzie (locked kthnx)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The Doctor is wandering around the residence, searching for Cube pieces, but also keeping an eye on the new employees.

Something was off - he wasn't sure what.

For now, he's in the music room, sitting underneath the piano with his legs sticking out, and running the sonic screwdriver along the base.

Trust me, I'm a Doctor - The Clinic, OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The Doctor decides to poke his head into the clinic. He's never been in there, and he's curious about what they've set up in there.

"Hello, anybody home?" he calls.

ota | martha | out and about

Despite that fact that it wasn't as warm as it had been just a few short weeks ago, Martha loved being outside, even if it was just sitting under a tree as she was. Her arms were crossed over her chest, a somewhat serene smile on her face as she blew a stray strand of hair out of her face and returned to looking around the grounds peacefully.

She thought about them less, her family back in London. But she didn't know if she should be more relieved or disturbed at that fact. She decided, however, on relieved though, as that route kept her from having one too many Long Island iced teas.

Harmony OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Harmony was kind of happy that she was no longer Willow's house pet, but now she had to deal with Duh'ffy and her little pet Spike. Yeah, that sucked the hardest. Spike was the biggest reason she took on this Vengeance gig. She was so pissed off, annoyed, she just signed into the place, got her room and then sauntered to the bar in her nightie and fur coat, in search of many cosmos.

Harold and The Doctor

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
There is a loud bang as a small toddler runs through the front door of the lobby, followed by two brightly colored dogs. The puppies are yipping excitedly. The plaid one jumps up and manages to pull on Harold's shirt (without ripping it even!). "I'm It!" Harold giggles and twitches directions to chase the puppies. They start running towards the stairs, Harold close behind.

Entrance Post OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Elizabeth Bennett had been enjoying the tour of the Peak District with her Aunt and Uncle the Gardiners. She had been admiring of the landscape; appreciative of the tours around homes of the local gentry and an appetite for local colour.

However, there was one house on this grand tour she had serious reservations about. Pemberley. How could she go there? It was Mister Darcy's house and after his proposal, after the letter that he had written, it would be too much.

The Gardiner's not knowing of these goings on had prevailed upon her with promises that she need not worry. He was known to be in town on business and unlikely to return to Pemberley for a number of weeks. He would never know she had been there.

Resigned she agreed to go and the evening before they were due to take the trip her Uncle took her to one side.

"My dear Lizzie, you mustn't think us terrible, for prevailing upon you so. Pemberley is surely one of the most oustanding houses in this part of Derbyshire."

"I never would sir," she replied.

Mr Gardiner smiled. "I know my dear, but I see your heart is heavy, missing your sisters I'm sure. I have here a little something I think would be a perfect diversion for you."

He produces a small wooden puzzle with many pieces. "It is quite the thing this Season in London, it has been driving me to distraction and distraction is just the thing you seem to require."

"Thank you Uncle, you are very thoughtful." Lizzie said before her Uncle left her to it.

The puzzle was fiendish she looked at the pieces and tried to be logical before going by trial and error, trying to get the pieces fitting as they should. Lizzie noted just before she slottted the last piece in that she must remember to thank her Uncle for the puzzle again in the morning.

The last piece slid into place and Lizzie felt the same surge of excitement that she got when something had been completed to her satisfaction.

She got to her feet, "Aunt Gardiner?" She called.

This was not the room at the Inn she was suddenly very afraid.

Mixed Leaves, OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The Doctor sits at a table covered with different types of teapots and several cups. He's sampling them all - one by one. Peppermint, Earl Grey, strawberry, chai, snozberry.

All the free radicals and tannins (not to mention the caffeine) have given him a pleasant buzz. He takes a sip of one tea, makes a disgusted face, and moves it to another table, then returns to try some more tea.

We need to Talk

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Romana and the Doctor (ooc: plotlocked)
Where: Room 128
Why: They need to clear the air.

Mark had practicly pushed her out the door, she knew he was right, she hadn't been herself lately which was rather ironic for a Time Lord to say, she'd told Mark a lot of the problems she'd had adjusting to Here. Because he was here. The Doctor.

And they'd gone from anger to friendship to this...coldness.

She hated it, and so it needed to be dealt with.

Sooner rather than later.

So here she was standing outside room 128 and still confused as to what to say.

What did one say in these situations. Oh well, she'd decide once they were speaking, though that had failed to work really rather spectacularly on the last attempt.

She rapped on the door and waited hoping he was in.

He's completely insane..

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: The Doctor, OTA
Where: The Library
What: Uh, a bored Time Lord is never a good thing...

---

The Doctor sat in his chair in the library, surrounded by piles of books. He was sitting oddly, sideways with his long legs draped over the arm, and one arm lying limp by his side as the other held a book on front of his face.

He looked like he hadn't shaved in a few days, his suit jacket is in a crumpled heap on the floor, and his shirtsleeves are rolled up. His hair is sticking up at bizarre angles and there is a dangerous glint in his eyes underneath the glasses perched on his nose.

He really isn't as scary as he looks, but anyone who approaches him should be prepared for slightly more manic rambling than usual.

Quietly Building - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Jack Harkness and OTA (Who/TW Folk and Anyone Else)
Where: Outside in the snow.
When: Still daylight.
Summary: So much has been destroyed. Jack decides to build something.
Rating: He might swear, so let's make it 'R' to be careful.

"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures."

~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th President of the United States (1961-63), 1917 - 1963

The sun is shining. Jack takes that to be a sign that he should get outside and once there, he admires the snowmen that have been created and decides he's going to do something himself. He isn't sure what, so he flops onto his back in the snow and makes an angel. He stands carefully, shakes the snow from his coat, and draws a halo above the head with two fingers. Standing back to admire his work, he nods slightly. It'll do, but he wants to create something. He isn't going to compete with the army of snow people, and one can only make so many snow angels...

He could use some tools, but doesn't want to stop to get any. Instead, he picks a likely area of deep snow, away from the residence just enough that it won't interfere with the generation of snow people. He plunges his hands into the snow and starts to dig.

Roger sat in Blix, his fourth beer having just appeared and stared into nowhere, He'd been overly harsh with the nurse that had come to visit him, she'd just been trying to help but thats what had gotten to him.

He'd needed the help back in New York and he'd walked away from it. From Maureen and Joanne, from Collins. This was the pattern though.

Roger's running out the door
No more, Oh no, I gotta go

Nor could he talk to Mark, He was finally happy, finally found a woman that loved him, even if he'd had to come to an alternate dimension and find an alien to do it.

He should apologize to him though.

The film of Mimi, the things she'd said...

He took a swig of the beer.

He wasn't coping.

OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: The Doctor and OTA (Martha and Romana in particular, if they want to...)
Where: By the lake
What: Emo. He shall need huggles.

---

The Doctor sat on a boulder, staring out at the lake. It was cold, and he had no coat on, but he wasn't bothered by the temperature. Even if it was cold enough to affect him, he still probably wouldn't care.

Freezing would only make him feel more numb. If that was even possible.

He should be used to this by now. Losing people. This wasn't even the first time he'd lost her.

But it never got any easier.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Down at the cemetary, Tim is waiting. He is dressed in his best (black of course), a thick book in one hand, waiting by the graves. He has set up a bunch of chairs, and patiently waits for everyone to settle in and show up, before he begins.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are gathered here together to join in mourning. We have lost a great many people, near and dear to us. Please, bow your head for a moment of silence, for those who have passed."

Tim bows his head, waiting.

When he raises his head again, he flips open his book. "In this life, we find ourselves in a veil of sorrow. But fear not, for those who have passed on pass on now to a better place, a place of peace and happiness. Beyond this world, there lies yet another, and there, they are laid to rest."

((OOC:There will be a thread in this post for each of those lost, please feel free to have your pup eulogise or just mourn underneath whichever ones you want.))

Who: Captain Jack Harkness/Rose Tyler, Any of the Whoverse Folk and Their Friends

When: Just after the explosion, then just before the residence comes crashing down.

Rating: R. (Character Death, Grief, Swearing, Guilt)

(With my apologies for the delay...)

Captain Jack Harkness has just had a lovely time 'dancing' with Rose, and is on his way to one of the bars for some champagne.

He doesn't know that dance will be their last.

As he passes through the Lobby, he's caught directly above the explosion, and is killed instantly, the remains of his body blasted through a wall.

.......

Long live Jack Harkness.

Regeneration-ation-ation - Romana/Doctor later appearance by Mark (Locked)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
"You're wrong you know" she tells him, amused as he tried to affix the coils to the coolant system. "The Linain scale is an archaic system, you should know that better than me"

She loves this, another Time Lord, more than that, The Doctor. And its nice. Its friendly and its comfortable. And Romana never believed she could have that with him again.

And she likes it when she's smarter than him.

"Though it might take a Triple First to really...."

Its the last thing she says before the explosion. It comes from the pipes and it sends flame into the machinery.

It could make it worse. She raises Dark eyes to meet the Doctors and grabs the sonic screwdriver.

She does what she can and finally it shuts down...but flames are engulfing the room and the pain in her head, the wet, makes her reach down, to the blood seeping from her side. She hadn't even noticed what had done it.

"Doctor" she calls weakly "Doctor..."

It was giving out, this body. Not long to last.

She needed him with her.

"Doctor" she called again.

The boho and the ex. - Romana/Mark/Doctor (Locked)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Romana handed Mark the cup of coffee still amused at the look on his face at all the various bits of technology she and the Doctor had assembled. She had shown him the culture she had cultivated from a little bit of mud she'd found on the boots she'd been wearing on her arrival but soon discovered such things bored him.

She kissed him affectionately on the cheek.

"You could meet Roger for an hour or so while we're being 'boring and sciencey' she offered "You don't have to pretend to find it interesting"
