Exercise is key...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Robert O'Brien and OTA.
Where: The Fitness Room of Here.
When: Some afternoon or other.
What: Exercise is key...

[[ OOC: And Slow-Time, folks, life being the way it is these days...]]

Robert O'Brien doesn't have a show to prepare for, not as a dancer or a choreographer. He doens't have to worry about his weight the way he used to or even his level of fitness.

But he wants to.

He's been dancing more lately, working on some routines, just for the hell of it. Now he's standing in track pants and a T-shirt, uncharacteristically unshaven - because he hasn't just let it go for a while now - doing arm curls and swigging bottled water.

It's strangely liberating, to be back on track, though he doesn't look quite like himself, at all. He feels more relaxed than he has been in years.

And he's still waiting for that other shoe to drop.

LAKE PARTY!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
For a dorky teen aged kid, Bobby has managed to set up quite an interesting array of stuff for the party (with the help of Residence staff members).

Let's get this party started! )

[[ooc: Regular party etiquette, all are welcome, thread hop, post in in several places to get the max amount of tags and fun out of it all!]]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Robert O’Brien & Luna Lovegood
Mixer
Library

Luna had decided to spend the day in the library mostly because she was not the type for the sun. But she had decided to perch herself by one of the few windows since it was rather nice out as she set a small stack of books and a small bottle of water nearby. After making sure she had a painkiller lolly tucked away just in case she nestled into the chair with book in hand. "Know I have to face things just not today" thinking of the fact she may have to have more work done to make her arm and wrist whole again. But for today she was content to camp with a few books as her little radish earrings swung from her ears.

Happy Feet - Robert O'Brien and OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Robert O'Brien and anyone who might feel like dancing...
Where: The Ballroom of Here.
When: Some quiet evening... (warnings for slow time, as I have a hectic weekend ahead)
Why: Because he feels like it... and the Mods might smack me upside the head if I don't do an OTA post with him soon. ;)
Rating: This is Mr. Broadway. We'll say 'PG-13' for now, so that it's fine for most audiences.
Summary: Robert has happy feet. Just... go with it, please? :D

"Happy feet! I've got those hap-hap-happy feet!
Give them a low-down beat
And they begin dancing!
I've got those ten little tip-tap-tapping toes,
When they hear a tune
I can't control the dancing, dear,
To save my soul!"

~ Cab Calloway, 'Happy Feet'

Robert O'Brien isn't bored, per se. He's used to being part of a Broadway production, even is it's more in the role of choreographer these days than the lead, and he misses the singing and dancing. He's been exercising, doing daily runs and hitting the Fitness Centre, but it isn't the same.

He enters the ballroom in comfortable trousers, light cotton shirt and sneakers. There's a sound system at one end - he recalls that from one of the weddings - so he approaches, requests some of the fight music from 'West Side Story' and walks to the middle of the ballroom. He closes his eyes and recalls the moves he made during his first leading role, as Riff.

Within moments, he's dancing, as if it were only yesterday and not fifteen years ago.

Waiting for the Other Shoe - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Robert O'Brien and anyone who wishes to poke him gently with a stick.
When: Just before the seasons change.
Where: His tortured mind - I mean, the indoor pool.
Rating: I have no clue. We'll go with R, because this is John Barrowman in swim trunks... ;)
Summary: Robert might be slowly going mad...

The water swallows him as he dives to the bottom of the pool, and he waits until he's almost out of air before kicking off from the bottom and breaking the surface, gasping for air. He's alone at the indoor pool, for the moment. Outside, the weather is changing, and soon he'll be able to swim in the other pool or the lake, for that matter.

Right now, he's uneasy, and he doesn't really know why. It's like that proverbial 'other shoe'. He's Here, so now what? He's gathered that there isn't really anything other than that. There is no big plan or deep plot. People are brought Here, and that's all.

He swims to the edge of the pool, flips over and does the front crawl to the other end.

Maybe he's slowly going mad...

Stag and Doe - OTA [[OOC: No tags from Mr. Bunny, please]]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Damn near everyone (except for Mr. Bunny).
Where: The Ballroom (where you dance, not where you play with balls).
When: Right now, actually... ;)
Rating: Jack swears sometimes, some maybe PG-13. Will alter if required.
Summary: Stag and Doe for Lucas and Layla.

The sign on the Ballroom door read:

Stag and Doe: Lucas and Layla (respectively).
Come on in and help them celebrate
their love for one another (that means you)

Jack checked to make sure everything was in place. The sound system was ready to take requests. He had arranged for a microphone to be set up on a small, raised platform, for announcements, speeches and the like. There were streamers and balloons, two tables of food and a table of beverages for all tastes. He had two crowns set aside for the special couple to wear later on and party favours scattered around the room.

Right now, he set the music for some soft rock 'n' roll, so people could dance if they wanted, but could converse comfortably. He figured 'simple but fun' was the way to go. He'd thought about the whole 'girl popping out of the cake' scenario, and even considered twisting it so that he popped out of the cake instead, but this was a 'family show', not one of those parties.

Jack, dressed simply in a blue t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, checked his watch and waited for people to arrive, hoping that Layla and Lucas would like what he'd done. He hadn't really met Layla yet, so he was a little nervous.

I'm a Best Man who doesn't really know the Bride-to-Be. How weird is that?

[[ OOC: Ahem, sorry. Posting order? What is this strange thing you speak of? ;) I didn't set it up that way at all, at all. Just have fun, tag who you like, and dance when the spirit moves you. :D ]]

An Evening with the Classics - Romana - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Romana had been walking toward the library when she'd noticed the Clinic. She approved of the idea, there were most likely people here with illnesses and this could be somewhere they could be treated confidentially. Not that she was medical or anything and even if she was, Gallifreyan Physiology was much different from human. And humans seemed to make up the majority of the people Here.

She continued into the library and found an interesting book, Written on Earth in the...19th Century and seemed to be about very overly emotional youngsters on the Yorkshire Moors in England. And there was a drunken brother.

She decided to settle down for a while and read it slowly, She had half an hour to kill after all.

Ice, Ice, Baby...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Ana Clark and Robert O'Brien. (closed)
Where: Here, because we can't seem to leave... ;)
When: Bright and early one morning, on a crisp winter day...
Warning: None that I'm aware of, but will update accordingly.
Summary: Robert decides to pursue the feelings he has for Ana, and hope he doesn't end up hurting either one of them.

"It's a strange world of language in which skating on thin ice can get you into hot water."

- Franklin P. Jones, American Businessman, 1887 - 1929

Robert stands outside Ana's room, dressed warmly for the outdoors, his glasses in place and skates lopped over his shoulder. He leaves a note on the door and takes a gamble that she won't mind that it's seven-in-the-morning. He knocks briskly then flees back down the hall to the stairs.

The note reads:

Hey, you.

Awake now? Wondering what to do with your time? Want to come skating with me?

I'll be there until Noon-ish, should you wish to join me. Hope to see you, sweetheart.

Bobby :D

Looking for Company - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Where: The Lobby, because it isn't one of the bars...
When: After the Funeral Service
Rating: PG (?)

Robert contemplates his life...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Ana Clark, Robert O'Brien. Then anyone who needs saving or just wants to meet up. The Doctor? Gwen, Peter, Mark, anyone.
When: During the explosion.
Why: She is freaking
Status: Incomplete
Rating: TBD

*Ana was quietly napping in her room, the nightmares, the inability to eat meat, the inability to be touched were all coming back to her with a screaming vengeance and she didn't know why? She was rocked awake with the sound of the explosion. It set off her PTSD and she flipped out. She got up, frantic, grabbing her shotgun, loading it. She made it out into the hall, seeing and smelling smoke, rubble. Chaos. Zombies, they were being attacked by zombies. She screamed long and hard. Pinned to the wall by her fear. Her eyes wide. The gun in a white knuckle grip.*

Time for a fall

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hop, hop, hop.

The Bunny eyes the empty lobby again, just to make sure it is still empty. If anyone sees him doing this, he's in big trouble. But sometimes, well, all the time really, he just has to follow his programming.

Which is telling him, someone has to pay.

So it is that he's carrying a small object, just about the size of an easter egg. Actually, it's painted to look like one too. But with some advanced knowledge, and future technology, the Bunny has created something quite powerful.

"Happy Birthday, buddy." With a quick two hops, he slams the egg into the delivery shoot and hits the button with both feet. After a smooth landing, his beady red eyes stare upwards, waiting for a rush of fire down the tube to tell him he's the new Manager of this place.

BOOM!

As pieces of the residence begin to fall down around his head, he can say but one thing.

"Oops."

((OOC:This is it boys and girls, the big badda boom! Enjoy yourselves.))
