Claire was listless.

So much had happened in such a short time - Noah wasn't dead, Peter wasn't dead, Nathan might be dead, Noah was going back to the Company. Her thoughts whirled around her head and left her unable to concentrate on much of anything.

She was in the middle of cleaning her closet when she found the box. Frowning, she sat on her bed and started to put the pieces together. It was something she didn't remember, but it was repetitive and didn't require too much effort, so it was right up her alley at the moment.

A short time later, she managed to fit the last piece in place. There was a momentary pang of regret when she finished, but she didn't have time to dwell on that when she realized she was no longer in her bedroom.

"... what the heck?"

"It's some weird sort of place, there's no way out," Mimi said. She was doing this the whole wrong way.

"I'm sorry, I haven't told anyone about this yet. You did a puzzle, yeah? It brings you to this place, sort of like an alternate dimension. I know how messed up that sounds, but it's true. And the only way out is to do another puzzle, but the pieces are scattered all over, and its bigger..."

She pauses, to see how Claire is taking it.

"It's sort of a teleport," she said. "Look, I know I suck at this, I'm not really used to any of this weird stuff, either. I didn't know about any of it before I came Here. But when you do the puzzle, it brings you Here, somehow... There's aliens and magic and people with powers, all sorts of stuff."

"But best of all, there's free food and clothes and alcohol," she said brightly, and then briefly wondered if she should be recommending alcohol, the girl definitely wasn't 21.

Cassie's sitting in the lobby, leafing through a magazine. She, of course, hears the newcomer. "New, I ta-" She glances up and her mouth gapes for a second.

"And people say the universe is big." She stands up, walks over to Claire and offers a hand.

"My name is Cassie. I think we might be related somehow." She waves a hand about vaguely. "..distantly." Of course, all humans are related distantly but.. that's another discussion for another day.

She offers Claire a bright smile.
