Happy Feet - Robert O'Brien and OTA
Who: Robert O'Brien and anyone who might feel like dancing...
Where: The Ballroom of Here.
When: Some quiet evening... (warnings for slow time, as I have a hectic weekend ahead)
Why: Because he feels like it... and the Mods might smack me upside the head if I don't do an OTA post with him soon. ;)
Rating: This is Mr. Broadway. We'll say 'PG-13' for now, so that it's fine for most audiences.
Summary: Robert has happy feet. Just... go with it, please? :D

Robert O'Brien isn't bored, per se. He's used to being part of a Broadway production, even is it's more in the role of choreographer these days than the lead, and he misses the singing and dancing. He's been exercising, doing daily runs and hitting the Fitness Centre, but it isn't the same.

He enters the ballroom in comfortable trousers, light cotton shirt and sneakers. There's a sound system at one end - he recalls that from one of the weddings - so he approaches, requests some of the fight music from 'West Side Story' and walks to the middle of the ballroom. He closes his eyes and recalls the moves he made during his first leading role, as Riff.

Within moments, he's dancing, as if it were only yesterday and not fifteen years ago.

	Ana was walking past the ballroom, she was getting herself a coffee and heading to the clinic when she heard the sound of music. She headed inside and sat down in the shadows, watching silently. A huge smile on her face. He looked happy, blissful. She murmurs to herself. "Beautiful." Sliding down in her chair and watching silently as her went through his routine. (Reply to this) (Thread)

He works through three songs, making up the choreography as he goes along for one of them. He knows his muscles are going to yell at him in the morning, as he hasn't really practiced at all since coming Here, but he feels invigorated, vibrant.

Alive.

He straightens and stretches, does a small spin - and realizes he isn't alone. He squints into the dim seating area, wishing he had his glasses on.

"Ana," he says, his face breaking into a smile.

'Somewhere' starts to play, and he opts to sing along with it as he dances toward her, his movements reflecting what he's saying.

"There's a place for us,
Somewhere a place for us.
Peace and quiet and open air

Somewhere.

	"Red is so beautiful on you. You are most welcome. It didn't look it though," she said. She stood and kissed him softly on the lips. "Let me go get you that water." "Ah-ha, but I have a red shirt for just such an occasion," he replied, grinning. "You don't need to make me blush... though I suppose it is nice to know you're having fun."

The kiss was sweet and he had to sit down anyway. That just made it an imperative. He caught his breath and waited for her to return. The music continued to play and he just let it run.

When he saw her and the water, he sighed and said, "Two of my most favourite things..."

She stated, sounding a little vulnerable.

She let and returned with a cold bottle of water for him, almost beaming at his comment.

"Two of your most favorite things?" She was a little speechless as she handed him the bottle.

	He noticed the vulnerability and wondered at it a little. Accepting the bottle, he held it up and said, "Without this, I'd die." Then he wrapped one arm around her shoulders and said, hoping it didn't sound corny, "Without you, I'd... die." This has suddenly become serious, Bobby-baby. He just wasn't sure what to do about it. "Very true, without that you would die, punkin. So, I won't let that happen." She said with a soft smile.

"I...I, wait, really? Me? Robert, I'm really...I..." She couldn't finish her sentence, so she just got up on tip toe and kissed him softly. One hand on the side of his face and one holding the back of his head.

"Robert, are you saying what I think you are?" The vulnerability tinged with hope still evident.

He couldn't help it: he blushed at the kiss. Deeply. Her hands were on his head, he couldn't look away, and he suddenly felt very vulnerable.

Then he looked into Ana's eyes and saw that she was vulnerable, too.

He cleared his throat and used the hand not holding the water bottle to touch her cheek.

"Ana... I... I've fallen in love with you..." Then he licked his lips nervously and waited to see her reaction.

She leaned into the simple touch, waiting for what he had to say and so not expecting what he was going to say.

"Wow, you...Oh god, Robert? Oh...I.." She was so deeply afraid to tell him she loved him and then have him die on her. A tear slipped out of her right eye. She nodded briskly and wanted so badly to tell him she felt the same.

"Robert, I...I want to say the same thing, I am so afraid to say how I feel for fear that I might lose you.

He watched her reaction carefully, not wanting to pressure her. He knew she'd been through a rough time - how well would he have dealt with zombies? - and he hadn't wanted to pressure her into anything.

"It's alright, Ana," he assured her, shaking a little. "You don't have to say it. I've been wanting to say that for a while, but was too chicken to do so. I'm..." He licked his lips nervously. "Not the best at commitment, but you've... changed that..."

And he leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.

	He was shaking and she pulled him in against her, as hard as she could when he kissed her forehead and held him tight in her arms. "If the words allude me, don't believe they aren't there...they are just in hiding. The thin you need to know though is I am not in hiding." She then kissed over his heart and rubbed his back. Robert was glad she had a tight hold on him. He might have collapsed into a pitiful heap, otherwise.

He didn't go around saying that sort of thing to his girlfriends - Was Ana his girlfriend? He hadn't asked her yet... - and suspected that she didn't say the sort of thing she just said to anyone, either.

What a pair we make...

"Thank you," he murmured, enjoying her hand on his back. His heart-beat quickened when she kissed his chest. "It's... good to know I'm not alone in this."

Ana kissed him back, deeply, and he increased the intensity. He loved her, he couldn't get around that, and he didn't know how to proceed.

Well, he did. Robert was no stranger to physical intimacy, but the emotional was still potentially alarming to him.

And sometimes, Ana scared the shit out of him. He wasn't completely sure why.

"PG-13?" He blinked, then smiled. "Um, if you were thinking of... movies that might make for a good... date, as it were or... inspiration... we'd have to go higher than PG-13, sweetheart..."

Robert blushed slightly, hoping he wasn't going too far over the line with that one.

She ran her hands over his arms and down over his back to cup his ass as she spoke. "Oh, I am thinking of a date, I love date nights. Where you usually stay and possibly watch a movie, not saying that the movie won't be playing the entire time...what I am saying is that we might be too occupied with other bits. As for right now, I meant...," she took his hand in hers and walked backwards out onto the dance floor.

"Granted, I loved watching you and that succulent bottom of yours moving across the dance floor, but now I wanna get lost in watching your face and looking in those eyes of yours."

The blush was beautiful and she didn't feel like teasing him. So, she leaned in and kissed his Adams apple, then his cheek. "Beautiful."

Oh, but her hands were wonderful...

Robert followed her onto the dance floor, listening to her idea of a 'date' and blushing harder when she referred to his bottom as 'succulent'. She kissed him, twice, called him 'beautiful' -

"Ana," he said huskily, his arms coming to rest on her waist. "I'd like to get lost in your eyes, too. Dance with me?" He lifted his head and called out to the room, "'Slow dance, please. Something by Elvis Presley."

	She watched him with a soft gaze, her love for him shining through. She smiled warmly when he blushed like that, he really was so beautiful. He replied to her and his voice sounded so husky and sensual and she did her best to not jump him right there and just attack his lips and other parts of him. "I'd love to dance with you." 	His smile widened. This beautiful woman wanted to dance with him. Did it really get any better than that? The King started to croon 'I Can't Help Falling in Love With You', and Robert began to lead them in a simple slow-step around the room, not rushing, holding her close. She wondered if the song meant what she thought it meant and she decided that it didn't matter, well it did because she loved him too.

"Just listening to this song, it says it all. It certainly says it all."

(OOC barring being sick and needing to taking a much needed hiatus from this game, I am back. If you want to wrap this up, I am fine with that *hugs*. Expect slow responses, I am slowly getting back in the groove and I have been dealing with a lot.)

Robert beamed down at her.

"Yeah, I guess it does. So... A movie night, then? Sounds perfect."

And they swayed to the music, and Robert kissed the top of her head and tried to imagine what his life would be like without her.

He quickly decided that it didn't bear thinking about.

	She beamed back at him, kissing under his chin. then she pressed as much of herself up against him as she could possibly and held on tightly. "Yes, any night with you sounds like pure bliss."
