Another Time, Another Place
Mimi settled back against the pillows and picked up the puzzle she'd been playing with over the last few days. She was sitting on her bed, Roger's guitar in her lap. Helped, sometimes, being near to something he loved so much. She couldn't play it, but the weight of was comforting. It was raining outside, and she was so glad to be inside in the Loft.

"Hee, that tickles," she said, giggling, looking down at Angel, who was painting her toenails blue. He smiled back at her.

She went back to the puzzle, finally slotting the last piece in.

Suddenly, it was like the bed had disappeared, and they were falling. She grabbed for the guitar as it slipped - her hands were empty, where had the puzzle gone? - but it wasn't long before they landed.

"Ow!" she exclaimed. They'd landed on the floor, she could feel a very plush carpet underneath her hand.

This was weird.

She looked down to see if Angel was okay.

"You alright?" she asked.

"Where the hell are we?" she added, as an afterthought.

Angel winced, wriggling for a moment before pulling out his drumsticks from the waistband of his skirt.

"Not exactly what I wanted digging into my ass," he quipped, before looking around puzzled.

"Ok, honey, did we take the crazy making drugs again and I just forgot? Or did Mark redecorate?"

He slowly stood up, wandering around, wrinkling his nose up at the furniture.

"If he did, gotta say, I prefer the old style."

	She laughed. "Least you didn't land on yours," she replied, getting to her feet with a wince. She looked around and boggled slightly. "You never took the really crazy making drugs," she said. Jaina had been doing some more exploring outdoors on her own this time when she spotted the two newcomers. Had she looked that completely surprised when she'd arrived.

No Solo you just pulled a weapon on the poor boy that found you she reminded herself and stepped over to the two.

"...Hi, Just gonna be blunt about this cause...well I'm usually blunt. Your in a..."

She looked around wondering how to explain it.

"Resort thing, you were brought here cause you did a puzzle and until you find, 26 more puzzle pieces all scattered about your stuck here. Its not as bad as it sounds, kinda a gilded cage deal.

The alcohols free" she said with a shrug before adding to her statement

"And how useless am I at this...Names Jaina."

Angel eyed Mimi a moment before pouting slightly.

"If you've bruised that sexy ass of yours honey, you should sue. That ass is your livelihood after all." He pinched it cheekily. "And just so damn fine."

He smirked as she mentioned the drugs. "Good point, maybe some really good pot then."

Any other response he may have had was lost at the arrival of a girl, blunt and to the point in her explanations and Angel grinned.

"Guess it's not the pot after all, hey there sugar, I'm Angel and my girl here is Mimi and what was that you said about free alcohol?"

	"Hey," she said, smiling at Jaina. Cool name. "And blunt is good. Very good. Thanks," she said, smiling. It was a hell of a lot to take in. They were stuck here? They were taking this surprisingly well, the alcohol offer had to have helped.

"Ok Angel, Mimi...You sign in over there, the paper, the ...book, and a key will appear. Yeah it worried me too when it happened"

She leads them over to the desk and waits for them to sign still talking.

"People here from everywhere, so don't be surprised by anything you see, there's a guy with wings, like a avian creature, theres a...a talking rabbit, telepaths, All sorts. But you can ask me whatever you want at the bar. Sound good."

Angel frowned slightly.

"Talking rabbits?" he echoed, with a half smirk. "Sure you haven't been taking drugs sugar?"

But he obediently signed his name in the book before stepping back to allow Mimi to do the same.

He supposed he should be freaking out or panicking maybe about seemingly being stuck in this place. But life had been slow since Collins had died and a little insanity was needed. Might be good for Mimi too.

Her brow furrowed at Jaina's warning.

"You're kidding, right?" she asked. When Jaina looked back just as serious, she sighed. "Y'know, kinda wish I could blame this on drugs," she said, shaking her head slightly.

She set the guitar down and signed her name under Angel's.

And the keys appeared. Just like that.

"Whoa," she breathed, and took them, handing one to Angel. She reached for the guitar again.

"So... to the bar?" she suggested.

"Wish I was" she responded to Mimi all seriousness and when the woman giggled she couldn't help but laugh too, the whole thing was so dammed surreal.

"Not officially met the rabbit thing yet, been told thats a good thing and I should continue to not run into it. So there...thats my sagely advice. Shall we get drunk?" she asked and turned to walk toward Blix ordering three Remote Terminators.

"Also, the drinks...you just ask and..."

The drinks appeared on the bar behind her and Jaina passed each of them their glass.

"...it appears" she finished taking a sip from hers.
