KUBE, Trial run. OTA
Tim has been, well, bored lately. It's generally a bad idea for Tim to get bored. Last time he did, he created the skate rugs. This time...

He waits for sunset. It seems like it'll be the most dramatic time of day for this specific adventure. Anyone who cares to look will see our dear sweet Tim outside, trudging through the snow with a grin on his face.

Taking his place at the edge of the lake, away from the boathouse and new ship, Tim slips out his wand. (Six inches, black oak, core made from the hair of a god. Remember, it's not the size of the wand, it's how you use it.) He frowns for a moment at the lake, then smiles. He raises the wand, grinning.

To anyone in the residence, the sound of instruments tuning up will be heard. Anyone who ignores them will not hear anything else that transpires, but anyone who listens in will find the following piece broadcasting from any glass surface. Fun with magic.

The music plays for a few moments, allowing people to tune in or out as they wish, before the words begin pouring forth. Tims wand moves in time to the music.

Is this the real life- Is this just fantasy- Caught in a landslide- No escape from reality- Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see- I'm just a poor boy,i need no sympathy- Because I'm easy come, easy go, A little high, little low, Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, To me

Even as Tim gestures, the words pour forth from the various surfaces, mirrors, windows and the like, as good as Freddie Mercury ever sang it. In the lake, the water is moving, not in a gentle current, but building up. Humps of water raise upwards a good five feet before sliding back down to normal. Columns rise upwards to rotate and then fade away, all in time to the steady music.

(Tim, of course, makes sure not to disturb anyone who might be on the lake. He is polite.)

Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now hes dead, Mama, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away- Mama ooo, Didn't mean to make you cry- If I'm not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-

The song is more then just words now. Tim is pouring everything into it Letting all the emotion this song needs to contain into it. If one closes ones eyes, they might almost see the scenes being described, understanding how someone could come to such a sorry state.

Too late,my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine- Bodys aching all the time, Goodbye everybody-I've got to go- Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth- Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows) I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all-

And this next bit take the emotions up a step, not so sad anymore, maybe a ray of hope shining through. The water becomes a little more regimented, squares of water popping up to the music, forming complex patterns that might just be chaos at work. And always the showman, Tim lets a bolt of lighting cross the sky when it's mentioned.

I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango- Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me- Galileo, galileo, Galileo galileo Galileo figaro-magnifico- But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me- He's just a poor boy from a poor family- Spare him his life from this monstrosity- Easy come easy go-,will you let me go- Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go- Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go let me go no, no, no, no, no, no, no- Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go- Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-

For a moment, there is quiet. Just long enough for anyone not familiar with the song to think it's over.

Tim uses that moment to remove his sunglasses, storing them in a pocket. A slow grin makes it's way onto his face, one might even say an evil grin. Then he throws the horns with his free hand, his wand darting out to encourage the water into a fierce and wild dance to celebrate the end of the song. Hell, he even throws in some headbanging.

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-
Oh baby-cant do this to me baby-
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-

Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me..

And with that everything is calm. Which is when Tim takes the opurtunity to let everyone know what the hell is going on. "Ladies and gentlemen of Here, that was Bohemian Rhapsody by none other then Queen. And me? Well, I'm Tim Hunter rocking out here on Kay You Bee Eee, the Kube, a completely unofficial radio station for Here. If you want to request a song, just say Tim, and make your request, and I'll see about getting it out there for everyone to hear. Got a question to put to the general populace of Here? Go ahead and say Tim and ask your question. In fact, feel free to try anything here! This is a brand new show, we love call ins, and your participation, and well, interest, will decide whether I do this again."

Tim sits back, gazing up at the residence, still broadcasting. "So , people of the Residence, what do YOU wanna here? I'm Tim Hunter, and I'll be here 'till either everyone tells me to shut up, or the Manager shuts me down. Gimme a call, we'll get things done. Next up on the play list, we have a favorite of mine, Baby Got Back, by Sir Mix a lot! Oh, and hold on just a minute..."

Tim slips his sunglasses back on with a grin and a nod. An alarm spell is going off. Excellent. "Little birdie just whispered in my ear, we've got phone lines home open for the next five minutes, so make your calls home, then give me a call, and we'll chat!"

((OOC:totally just doing this to see what comes of it. Thread hopping encouraged, feel free to make what use of this you want to.))

Kitty is in her room, reading. She's surprised when she hears the music, but Here is a very strange place and Queen totally rocks. She finds herself singing along, despite not having the strongest voice in creation.

She practically falls out of her chair when she hears Tim's voice. She listens closely to his instructions and crosses the room quickly to reach her cell phone. Home...

While the phone to Xavier's Institute rings, she clears her throat.

"Tim? What the heck are you doing? That was awesome! Uh, and I'd, uh, like to make a special request. Can I hear 'Somebody', by Depeche Mode, and dedicate it to my boyfriend?" She grins, wondering what his reaction will be.

As the last song plays, Tim lets himself segue in, a grin on his face. "This just in folks, we've got a question from Kitty Pryde, who wants to know what the heck I'm doing. Well, Kitty, for your edification, and the edification of the people at large, I'm bored out of my ever loving skull. And, somewhere in my head, it felt like a good idea to set up a radio station. If enough people like it, I can turn this into a regular thing, maybe even get some more people involved. Plus, it's a good way to make news announcements, right?"

He pauses a moment, flicking his wand around. "And we've got a special request from that very same caller, wanting Somebody by Depeche mode, dedicated to her loving, kind, wonderful, talented and very handsome boyfriend. Well, here you are Kitty, enjoy!"

In spite of her sneezing and coughing Gwen could smile a little. She grabbed her phone and dialed the Torchwood 3 hub,"Hey Tim, its Gwen Cooper. Think you can toss in some Blur for the rest of Torchwood 3? I have a feeling Jack and Martha will get why I picked this song"

(Song 2 was used in the fight scene of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang)

""Monsiurs and madmeosielles,, this next little ditty goes out to the res of Torchwood 3 from Gwen Cooper. It's, Blur!" Tim doesn't have a rolling chair outside, but if he did, he'd sit back in it and spin in a circle. Damn but this is fun.

"Hey all you folks in radio gaga land, we got an interesting request. Only gonna be a couple people here who've heard of them, but, lucky me, I was exposed by a dear friend. So, here we have the Weird Sisters singing their wiz-pop hit, Witches Abroad!" Thank god Ron had lent him some albums, way back when.

Wyatt can hear the music can feel the magic. He can see Tim conducting and decides to join in. From his hands beautiful orbs of blue and white light pour into the air above Tim. The orbs dance along gracefully to the music. Subtly changing color as seems appropriate.

"And for those of you just tuning in, please take a look out your windows, we've got a lovely light and water show going on outside."

Tim spins in place, the wand scooping up a large amount of snow and sending it in to mix with the water, giving it an ethereal quality. "Next up on the play list, something a little different, it's an old song called 'The Scotsman.' A little bit funny, strike that, a lot bit funny, and I'll let you know now, I've got a blue ribbon too."

Amanda is in the restaurant eating when she hears the music. Her head glances around to find a partner. If she doesn't she will begins to dance by herself, letting herself feel free if only for a short time.
