Lizzie is frantic, she has read the notice but there are so many things that she doesn't understand.

She leaves her room and heads out into the corridors to try and learn more. She reaches a window and the outsides look so different so unlike anything she's ever seen before, she stifles a cry and continues her search, there is only one person she trusts in this situation and she needs to find him.

The Doctor's running through the corridors, kicking himself he didn't work out what was happening sooner. Images of the explosion flash through his head, and he blinks. The place is intact. No one seems badly injured.

"You alright?" he asks a random person. They nod, stunned, and start asking questions.

"I don't know. Just... go back to your room. It should be safe there."

He turns around and spots Lizzie. "Hello Ms. Bennett. You alright?" he asks quickly.

He smiles at her. "You certainly have."

He looks around again. "Something with the new staff - I knew they were dodgy. And these-" he says, stepping back and holding an arm out protectively as two men in uniform came striding down the corridor "-these nice fellows here seem to be after them."

He turns to Lizzie. "Are you alright?" he asks, when the soldiers have rounded the corner.

	Lizzie steps back as strange people stride down the corridor. As if it wasn't strange enough Here. "If truth be told, Doctor. I am finding this all rather distressing. What's going to happen when this countdown finishes?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Oh then Doctor, you must come with me at once, a device has appeared in to lobby." Lizzie insists. "It's saying automatic self destruct sequence initiated." The words feel odd in her mouth and she isn't entirely sure what it means but it sounds incredibly frighening. "Whatever's happening it isn't good is it?" She asks. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lizzie jumps when more strange people hurtle past them along the corridor. This is most unusual. They arrive at the lobby and she point out the countdown to the Doctor. "There it is Doctor. What do you make of it?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

His brow furrows as he stares at it.

"A great big ticking clock... certainly is menacing, alright." He scratches his chin.

"Still, until this fighting stops, and the real Manager - whoever that is - gets back in control, we're not going to know what's happening."

He looks around and runs his fingers through his hair. "We should get people back to their rooms, and calmed down. That's the safest thing for now." He looks at her. "I'll take you back to yours first," he says.

	Lizzie shakes her head stubbornly. "Doctor, I'd like to help you if I can, getting people back to their rooms, I can do." She looks at her feet and then up at him. The Doctor looks stunned for a second, then his face breaks into a wide grin.

"Of course," he says. "I'd love your help. I've never been able to wait around either."

They wandered down the hallway, directing people back to their room and avoiding the chaos of the fight.

He grinned at Lizzie as she helped a woman into her room.

"Lizzie Bennett, you are fantastic," he says, grinning.

Lizzie looks up at the Doctor and smiles shyly.

She takes a deep breath and sighs. "I don't know about that, but I am most determined to help those who need it."

Lizzie can't quite believe that she's wending her way through something so alien to everything she's ever known. Thinking about it makes it all seem intimidating but doing what she can, however little gives her purpose.

Between them Lizzie and the Doctor help those who are confused and scared back to their rooms.

In a quiet moment, she turns to him and simply says, "Thank you."

He looks at her, smiling proudly. "No, no, thank you."

A thought occurs to him, and he runs his hand through his hair. "Lizzie, when this all calms down we need to find a way out of here," he says. "And, well, I'll be going back to my ship. It's called a TARDIS, and I travel around to different times and places, doing, well, things like this. Would you - I mean, I know you miss your family, so maybe you wouldn't want to, but I was thinking maybe you could ... Come with me?" he finishes, slightly awkwardly, he's never been good at this sort of thing.

Lizzie has good manners and despite the current circumstance she'd not let her decorum slip until she gasps open mouthed at his proposal.

"Travelling with you?" she asks and the Doctor nods rocking backwards and forwards on his heels.

She thinks quickly, she misses her family, her sister Jane and her father terribly. But since being Here, she has seen so much and she doesn't know how she could even begin explaining things to her family. They might think she were mad and the Scandal would be too terrible.

She bites her lip a bad habit she knows, but she can let herself off just this once.

"I think," she says slowly. "I think, I'd love to come travelling with you Doctor."
