Lucas Scott and James Lucas Scott - OTA
Lucas was sitting at the trees which Layla had grown for his Uncle Keith and Jimmy Edwards. Jamie was sitting beside him. It had been a year since Keith had been murdered and Jimmy had taken his own life and Peyton had been shot in the leg.

"Why are you so sad Uncle Lucas?" Jamie asked.

"Well Jamie, for me it's been a year since I lost my Uncle."

"Uncle Keith?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah, that's right. And Uncle Keith was a really special guy. He was like a father to me."

"What about Grandpa Dan? Wasn't he your Daddy?" Jamie asked.

"Technically yes he is, but he didn't want anything to do with me."

"You miss Uncle Keith?" Jamie asked.

"Everyday," Lucas said. "Everyday."

Jamie moved closer to him and wrapped his arms around Lucas's neck.

"Thank you buddy," he said holding back his tears.

	Layla walked slowly and softly up behind then. She watched them for a few moments. She put a hand on Lucas' shoulder. "This seat taken?" She asked softly. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	"Not for you," he said softly. He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "It's your seat Aunt Layla," Jamie said smiling. He stood up and wrapped his arms around Layla's neck. Lucas smiled at the both. He was so blessed to have them both in his life. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She sat down and held Jamie close to her, her eyes closed as she just took him in. His weight and smell and his essence. He was just too cute, they both were. "Hey there sweetie." She turned her head and smiled at Jamie, kissing his cheek. She held Jamie close and leaned over to kiss Lucas on the cheek. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Lucas smiled when she kissed him on the cheek and looked back at the tree. He took out the picture he'd had in his wallet and looked at it.

"What's that?" Jamie asked.

"That's a picture of me and Uncle Keith."

"You look different," Jamie said.

"I was ten in this picture," he said.

"Uncle Lucas, you're a really good Uncle," Jamie said.

Lucas smiled and ruffled his hair.

"Thanks Jimmy Jam. You're a really good nephew."

	"And you both are amazing, sweet and smart guys and you are my guys, my favorite guys." She gently moved Jamie around so that he was between the two of them and then she slid over and gave them a group hug. She made soothing sounds to both of them. "See these two trees, Jamie? They are here for Keith and Jimmy, in spirit of them not being able to actually be here. Uncle Keith and Jimmy were friends and they both passed on on the same day. It was a very sad day for your Uncle, so I gave him a place to come and think about them and pray for them. See those two trees over there??" Pointing to the two Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees, "Those two trees are there for Aunt Peyton, so she can visit her mommies."

She leaned in and kissed Lucas temple softly.

Lucas smiled softly at Layla and took her hand in his, squeezing it.

"Will I see my Momma and Daddy again soon?" Jamie asked.

Lucas moved Jamie into his lap with his free hand.

"We're working on it but it's gonna take some time. You miss they don't you?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah," Jamie said sadly.

Lucas hugged him hard.

"You have me and Aunt Layla, we're here for you Jim bob," he said. "I know you miss your Momma and Daddy and I know it's hard being apart from them."

Jamie nodded and hugged Lucas back.

"You ever need to talk about anything me and Aunt Layla are here for you," Lucas said.

Jamie turned his head to look at Layla as he continued to hug Lucas.

"Aunt Layla, can you plant a tree for my Momma and Daddy so I can have a place to talk to them like Uncle Lucas has a place to talk to Uncle Keith?" he asked.

She caressed his cheek softly when he asked and kissed his forehead. "I can grow you one for each, heck I can grow you an entire forest if you so choose, buddy. " She leaned in and hugged them both hard. It was hard to see them so sad.

"I'll plant it near the tree I plant for my Grandma, a place for all of us to come and talk to those people who can't be with us."

She nodded softly, "Yeah, three days ago. She went peacefully. I wanted to call them and tell them about Jamie and she told me the news. he asked about you. I told her you were doing well and that we had a beautiful new addition. She sounded sad but happy to hear from me." Layla kept it simple, she was pretty much OK with it, but she regretted not having the chance to see her and talk to her before she had to go to the Summerlands.

She smiled through her tears at Jamie 'Thank you, Jimmy Jam. " She turned her head to Lucas and sniffled. "I was crying about your Uncle, actually. it's so sad. I worry about you, both of you... my guys and your pains are my pains." She leaned into him. "I know you do, I wake up every day excited I get to spend another day with you, both of you now." She ruffled Jamie's hair then.

He looked up at Jack, tears slipping down his cheeks. He hastily wiped them away.

"Hey Jack, long time no see," he said.

Jamie looked up at him.

"Jack, this is my Nephew, Jamie."

"James Lucas Scott," Jamie said proudly. "Age 5."

Lucas smiled at Jamie.

"We're here to visit Keith. I've been Here a year so it's a year since Keith went to Heaven," he said.

Jamie hugged him again.

"Thanks buddy," Lucas said.

"So Jack, you wanna sit down?" Lucas asked.

	Jack noticed the tears, but was prevented from saying anything by the little boy, who introduced himself and explained what they were doing. "Nice to meet you, James," he said, using the formal name the boy had given and offering him a hand to shake. "I'm Captain Jack Harkness." He glanced over at Lucas and nodded. "Yeah, Down is good.
