Lizzie Bennett OTA
Lizzie was adjusting, a little bit everyday and it had taken her a while to get used to being away from Jane especially.

She had taken to keeping a journal and noted down new things that she had learnt in it. She was reviewing this over tea and sandwiches in the pantry.

Lizzie chewed thoughtfully on the end of her pencil.

	Derek wandered into the pantry for a coffee and a sandwich. He was taking a break from the Clinic. He sat at a table and ordered for a waitress. He spotted her in there too but didn't want to intrude. She seemed to be engrossed. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Lizzie looked up as she heard some voices. A gentleman, almost certainly from a later time than her was ordering some food.

She put down her pencil and book and looked over at him. She smiled warmly. She hated this part of things it felt wrong to go and introduce herself she felt so thoroughly wrong to just go and introduce herself. But Elaine had said it was ok to do just that Here.

She steeled herself and stood up walking over to his table. "Good day Sir, I don't think I've made your acquaintance before. I'm Miss Elizabeth Bennett."

Lizzie nods, "That seems to be my experience of Here."

"There are many things which seem useful, like the hot and cold running water and e-lec-tricity but there are things I'm not sure about yet."

A waiter comes over and she orders another pot of tea.

She smiles shyly at Derek. "So I imagine when you're from you're used to all of this?" she indicates the room and world in general.

	"Well if you ever need someone to talk to about any of the things you're not sure about, you can talk to me," he said softly. She had a nice smile he thought when she smiled shyly at him. "Yes I am. "Thank you Mister Shepherd, that is very kind of you, I have not done all my adjusting on my own, the Doctor has been very helpful and Mister Kenobi made sure that I was settled in."

Lizzie is suprised when he says what he does. "A Doctor, you must be a very very busy gentleman. My sister Jane and I would do charity work in the village and we might draw or play music, I have to confess I miss my family, I am the second daughter of five and being alone, to start with has been a luxury but now I miss my elder sister Jane and my father most keenly."

"It must still be difficult." She replies.

"I wonder what will become of my youngest sisters. They are quite a handfull and Jane is currently away too, they will have thoughts of naught but the regiment." Lizzie shakes her head.

"I think that is the worst part of being Here, not being able to let them know that I am all right." Lizzie sighs, there really isn't any use to being maudlin, but occasionally it catches her unaware and she tries to shrug it off.
