Neville had been bouncing that morning. The thought of actuality getting a new guitar had thrilled him beyond belief. The one he had been playing was barely usable, and couldn't hold a tune even with countless charms. For whatever reason, they wouldn't hold and Neville, while not a normally grumbling boy, was at the end of his rope with it. He was thinking about having a funeral pyre for it, and that thought cheered him to no end.

"Dad! I'm ready if you are," Neville called from the foyer, wondering if his dad had forgotten again. Neville understood this about his dad; he felt like he was so much like his father, getting absorbed in an activity to the point that he would forget time, appointments, really everything. Neville loved him but hoped Frank had not forgotten.
