So, Lavender and Derek had the idea to have a scavenger hunt on the grounds as an activity after Christmas for the students who stayed. This happened yesterday! Basically, Derek put together a long list of items to be found in the castle or on the grounds, and gave a copy to everyone as they came to play.

When the player finds an item, they mark down the time and where they found it on their sheet, and when they've found all of them they bring the list back to Derek at the Great Hall. He also scrounged together some prizes for the winners! Gift certificates to Weasley Wizard Wheezes for the fastest three! (Which... I guess I'll somehow figure out from the people who tag in?)

WHO: Victoria Frobisher, Sariah Capper, Flora Carrow, two attackers (unnamed until the gdoc goes up) and later Colin and Madame Pomfrey.
WHAT: During prefect rounds after curfew Vicky gets hit with an Impedimenta jinx at the top of a tall staircase. The list of muggleborns is crammed into her hand and she's pushed down the stairs. After a while Colin finds her at the bottom of the staircase and gets her to the hospital wing.

WHERE: Hogwarts (specifically a corridor and hospital wing)

The portrait of the Fat Lady swung back wide for Ron as he spoke the password and started leading the first years into the Gryffindor dorms for the first time. Older students followed in after, some of them laughing at the first years and their looks of wonder, some of them chatting excitedly about the year to come, and more than a few of them quieter than usual, knowing that things were definitely not getting better in the world.

At one end, a huge stage with a gigantic Weird Sisters banner at the back, in case anyone forgot who they were there to see. It's the biggest event of the summer, with the biggest band in Wizarding Britain, playing for the biggest crowd they have ever played for. And the show is about to begin...
