Jasdebi always waited until the very last opportunity to wrap presents. Their door would be annihilated with wrapping paper, something taped on it warning passersby to steer clear. Box after box would be wrapped twice- first messily by Jasdero, then nicely by Debitt.

The problem wasn’t really the presents they wrapped so much as what they wrapped once they finished with the gifts. Leftover wrapping paper simply wouldn’t do, according to the twins. The doors were the first things to go, in their room and then on the rest of the upstairs. Rhode could always expect her door to come out looking nice and like a giant present, but Tiki’s door somehow managed to look like it had mutilated by a butcher with poor taste in patterns and multiple bows tied around it. He had learned long ago that any attempt to rip down the décor would only result in even more disastrous covering, though, so that was how it stayed until Rhode decided to fix it or it was time for the akuma to clean up all the decorations.

When the upstairs looked gaudy enough for their tastes, Jasdebi moved downstairs. They covered Tiki’s chair in paper first this year, topping off their accomplishment with a giant bow before moving on to the bookcases. The only thing that stopped them from attempting to wrap the fireplace was the Earl appearing in the doorway with a threat that promised death to whoever burned down the house, and even then they considered doing it and framing Rhode for the job. Bows adorned the kitchen chairs with festive alternating colors, a trail of paper leading around the entire house before returning to the base of the stairs. The twins stood with an empty roll of wrapping paper, scissors, and tape in hand, looking about at their handiwork with proud appraisal. Rhode came down the stairs carefully, watching her step for anything they might have left to plot her untimely demise. One glance around had the girl rolling her eyes, sighing loudly as she moved to walk past them.

“Gee, boys, and here I thought you couldn’t possibly get any gayer.”

The boys sputtered at the insult, fumbling their guns out to point at the girl’s back angrily. “Shut the fuck up, Rhode! It’s Christmas, and we don’t see you doing shit to make the house look nice!”

“Nice? It looks like it was attacked by some babies with paper. Oh, wait, it was-“ She shrieked as a blue bomb came ripping down the hall, sending her falling on her face on the entry rug.

“Jasdebi’s decorations look just fine!” Jasdero squealed the protest, breathing heavily in rage.

Rhode was already on her feet, though, eyes blazing gold as the air around her turned a slight hue of purple. “You want to die, obviously, because I could swear you just shot at me-“

Tiki cut them off as he sauntered down the stairs and across the main hall, sipping at a mug of coffee as he moved to the kitchen. “I think I just saw Lulu scratching the paper off her door upstairs, twins. You should go stop her.”

They were off like a shot, scrambling up the steps and shouting protests all the way. Rhode clenched her fists with a growl, stomping to the kitchen doorway and glaring up the stairs. “Don’t think it’s over, Jasdebi! Nobody shoots at me without paying for it, nobody!”

Tiki sighed, pouring some milk into a saucepan on the stove. “Give it a rest, Rhode. If you kill them now you’ll get nothing for Christmas.”
