Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

I’m not sure what happened
They said I must go.
To this place they once heard of
But didn’t quite know.
It’s tight with small rooms
Yet large like a maze
And everyone seems
To be in such a haze.
Everyone is wandering
And it’s just such a bore
Can’t someone do something
Before I lie down and snore.
So if you have an idea
Do come and tell.
Because this is starting to feel
Like a god-awful hotel.

Martin. Martin. Where are you. I'd appreciate even a clue.

[Hanging from one of the tacks by its handle is a chipped tea cup, with a note stuck inside of the cup.]

I DO SAY, MY GOOD SIR, YOUR POETRY IS LIKE A JUB JUB IN THE TULGEY WOOD ON TUESDAY! STIRRING RHYMES WITH NO REASON BUT PURE VACCUUMS AND DAISIES!!!

IT REMINDS ME OF MY DEAR, DEAR HATTER!! I SAY! HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? I HAVE HIS HAT!

There is reason for you find, you'd just have to read between the lines.

A Hatter without a hat! Then he'd just be a Ter. Which would be no fun at all.

Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin. Martin Marches. It's six where are you marching?

Yes? Don't say someone's name with no purpose. It's rude. Or so I've been told. MARTIN.

Oh, no. Not you again. Things were just beginning to get quiet around here. I should have known it was because the Hatter was gone.

Alice! they didn't tell me you were hear. Perhaps they thought I just might sneer.
Have you sat at anyone's tables today? All you'd have to do is ask if you may.

Oh Noe. QUIET we couldn't have that. Then how would you know if anyone was whispering?

There is nothing wrong with being quiet. Some people speak out of turn.

Out of turn? There are turns? Are we playing a game? Did you start at the end? Games are best when you start at the end and go back because then you always know who won.

PST I think its yours. Turn that is.

Starting at the end? That would be cheating, and I am most certainly no cheater, Mr. Hatter.

How would it be cheating? Merely turning around. And you liked the idea of turns moments ago. You're so fickle.

A hotel you say?
You're mistaken, you know
It's a holding bay
For the loons to go.
A charming case:
It should not cause confusion.
I'm from outer space,
But they say it's delusion

You're from space you say?
To that place I want to stray.

To rhyme delusion is a skill. Who are you anyway? Mister Alien? Do you have pointy ears or anything? Can I see?

If my ship is returned
I could take you there
But I have learned
'tis to be found nowhere

I must agree,
I am quite smart.
Though poetry
Is more an art.

I suppose I will say,
If you are bored:
I'm from Gallifrey;
I am a Time Lord.

Over 900 years old
Is my current life span
But I have been told
I look just like a man

You spin a splendid tale.
The stuff of aliens and men.
that's nothing near stale.
Have you ever put it to pen?

900 is awful long.
I'd be bored enough to write a song.

Poems I wrote
When I was young,
But alas, not a note
Of a single song.

Though music astounds
And it makes me gasp,
Talent abounds,
But not in my grasp.

I could ask you the same.
Do you publish your rhymes?
Have I heard of your name
Countless times?

Hello, Theodore. An orderly told me this post was yours. My name is Juliet and I'll be your doctor here at Cheshire. I look forward to meeting you.

Orderlies say a lot of things,
They might as well just dance and sing.
Alas this post is mine,
I've been doing just fine.
You can doctor in another place,
Like off in outer-space.
But if you must here I am
though sessions always feel an exam.

I think it would make this place nice and lively if they did dance and sing! I will try not to make sessions feel like an exam. How about you let me know what you want from them and we can go from there?

What I want?
I want to be done.
It's really very nonchalant.
And left to have my fun.

When are these sessions of which you speak?
And what is your technique?
See I am very bad at taking meds
they only mess with my head.

You can choose when you have them, as long as there are no clashes. Some clients prefer to have them in the morning and others in the afternoon. I have slots on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, and Monday and Friday in the afternoons. Which of those work for you? I suggest we start out with one or two a week whilst we assess your needs.

We can discuss possible medication at our first session, but you don't need to worry about that for now. We'll start off with just talking. I'm afraid my rhyming isn't really up to scratch, though, so you'll have to bear with me.

On rhyming we can work.
It's on me that I cannot.
I do admit I have quirk
It's quite easy to spot.

They say there are more.
I think they are just a bore.
They have no sense of fun.
They only wish to be done

I like things to go on
(or else they may just go)
Otherwise I become withdrawn.
(it just ruins the flow)

Tuesday morning we can see. Monday you'd need to indulge me afternoon tea.

For me you'd get tea?
Well then I will see.
You might not be bad.
Or just perhaps just a tad.

I'll see you for tea.
And we'll just pretend
to talk about me.
