Greetings inhabitants of the planet Cheshire,

My name is Arthur Dent, and I am from a planet called Earth. You may not have heard of it, but there is a very nice entry on it in the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy if you are interested.

I hope you all are doing well here.

And if anyone knows where to get a substance called tea, I would be very interested. You may not call it tea, actually. It's little brown or green dried leaves that one soaks in hot water to make a beverage. If you need more information, please come and talk to me. You see, I haven't had good tea in quite some time, and all this space travel has left me rather dehydrated.

Anyway, it's nice to meet you all.

Sincerely,

Arthur P. Dent

Hello Arthur Dent. I'm Dagmar, a doctor here at on Cheshire. You seem incredibly polite and a great lover of tea, are you English?

Anyway, I believe that they have tea in the kitchens but it's fairly nasty stuff. My office is B111 and I have quite a bit of tea that I think you will find most agreeable, so feel free to come and see me, hmm?

Anyway, welcome to Cheshire, Arthur.

- Dagmar

Hello Dagmar,

Thank you, I do try to be polite, especialy when meeting the peoples of another planet; and, yes, I am English. How do you know about England? Have you been to planet Earth?

Oh, and thank you very much for the invitation to tea. A very nice woman in the kitchen gave me some substance that she insisted was tea and I didn't have the heart to tell her she was very, very mistaken. Bt if you've heard of England, then I hope I may assume that your knowledge of tea is much more reliable.

Also, what sort of doctor are you? Or perhaps I should ask you when I come for tea. Your office is quite close to my room, so if it's not too much trouble, I may pay you a visit rather soon.

Ah, well, thank you for the welcome.

I have. I got my medical degree there, actually. It's smart, being polite to people from other planets. It'll get you places...

Ah, that does sound like something they would do. The cooks are kind and well meaning, but they wouldn't know a good cup of tea if it bit them in the arse. Curious behaviour for a cup of tea, I know. I should hope I could appreciate a good cup of tea while my arse remained unbitten, but I suppose only time will tell.

I'm a psychologist and an MD. A bit of a change after med school, I'm afraid. We can certainly talk about that when you come, or whatever you want, really. I'm not very picky about conversation.

Indeed, well met. I'll hopefully be seeing you quite soon.

Hullo!

You're from England? That's wonderful, me too!

And you've traveled in space?! We really must talk.

Definitely see Dagmar about the tea, he has some lovely stuff.

You lo-lo! This is Earth. Everyone here is from Earth. This is a hospital, not a planet. A hospital called Cheshire Crossing.

I know about tea. The little pounches filled with leafy-smelling stuff, yeah? Put it in hot water, let is soak in... that kind of thing. Add honey, or sugar, or milk, or lemon to it.

I'm Lilo. I would say it's nice to meet you, Arthur P. Dent, but... I have not met you. So, I shall say, it's nice to exchange messages with you.

- Lilo.
