He had a textbook open in front of him but his mind had wandered. He was sort of glad to be back at Hogwarts and sort of wasn't. It wasn't unusual for him to be sitting on his own somewhere; he hardly hung out with a lot of people, but still, he sort of missed his dad, even when George was teasing him. Not for the first time, he wondered what it must have been like for his dad, having a twin brother.

Gilly was bored and for once she wasn't off causing trouble to get out of her boredom. Instead she was in the Gryffindor common room, reading an old issue of the Quibbler that she had found stashed in the library.

About half way through an article she looked up and noticed she wasn't alone. She laughed mischievously, and quietly picked up a pillow and tossed it at Fred. It landed right in front of him on his textbook.

Fred's following yelp echoed throughout the common room, his quill falling onto the floor and his ink making a nice dark stain in the carpet under his feet. "Gilly!" he protested, throwing the pillow back at her, although with a little grin on his face. "What'd you do that for?" He glanced down at the ink stain on the ground, frowning. Fred fished out his wand to try and cast a cleaning charm on the spot, getting down on his knees to pick up the knocked over ink well and quill.

	She laughed and shrugged, catching the pillow and putting it behind her. "Sorry bout that, Fred. Um, can I help?" She asked, noticing the mess, and rising to her feet. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Nah, I got it," Fred replied, muttering the spell. Instead of making the stain vanish, through, his wand emitted a few sparks... and the next thing he knew, there was a burnt hole where the stain had been. "What the," Fred began, staring at his wand. He let out a huge sigh and sank backwards. "Why is it always me," he groaned. "My dad jinxed me, swear to Merlin." (Reply to this) (Parent)
