Alexandria seemed to be living in a state of permanent annoyance lately. It seemed that she had began to see less and less of her friends and more and more of the people she despised until the point that people who embodied most of what she stood against had been moved into her house and rubberstamped as ‘family’. She would never refer to them as such, especially not her even though she definitely did not see herself becoming chummy with Dominic in the near future either. She had began to loathe him more and more the more she ran into him.

After transfiguration class, Alex had a free space and decided to take it free of any sort of company; she very much just wanted to be alone for a while. She knew there would be people floating around her common room, so she opted not to go there, instead she made a point to go through the most deserted part of the castle to get to the most deserted part of its campus. The most abandoned hallway in the school was about three flights up and on the right side of the building, it was lined with disinterested pictures, seldom used classes and miscellaneous cluttered storage bins. It was a little creepy, she had to admit, but she was just passing through and no one was ever in the hall, she just hoped she were right.
