Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
who: Alexandria and Dominic
what: Class!
Where: Transfiguration Classroom!
When: Friday Afternoon
Rating: TBA

Alexandria had already served two detentions for skipping Transfiguration and out of fear that they would right her father, she dragged her feet into Transfiguration. She fell into her normal seat next to the other Slytherin girls. She crossed her arms, every once in a while glancing over at where Dominic sat. She was still very concerned with what everyone thought about her, what with the inccident last class and the love potion event, people probably thought horribly of her. She sighed and doodled on her parchment trying to keep her mind off of it.

The teacher, Alex's unfortunate step-mother, took her station talking to the class while Alexandria sunk down in her seat deciding this time to try and go unnoticed hoping that Ms. Wolfe or her son wouldn't notice her at all and this class would go on with out too much drama.

Dominic watched Alex try to disappear into her chair and couldn't help but smirk to himself. He did feel horrible for what he'd done, but it hadn't been that bad, after all. He'd even refrained from gloating about it in his journal. In fact, he'd made something of an apology, which was unusual for him.

As the class passed and she steadily refused to look at him he started to get annoyed though. If there was one thing that Dominic couldn't stand, it was being ignored. And her pouting was a little tedious.

He waited until his mother's back was turned and gave his wand a quick flick, speaking softly. Above Alex's seat, a big, glittering heart appeared with the words, "I love Dom" written in flickering red letters.

Alex's eyes flickered up and saw the heart. Her eyes narrowed and she glared at him. Raising her wand, she flicked it, dispelling the heart.

Tearing off a piece of her parchment she scribbled, 'Look, just leave me alone, Wolfe! I haven't done anything to you. Haven't you made my life miserable enough with you conceeded charms?'. She sent the note soaring toward him like a missile when his mother wasn't paying attention to the classroom. She glared at him as he read it, going from sullen to annoyed.

He read the note and cast her a dark look, rolling his eyes. Instead of writing anything back he turned and cast another charm over her desk. It wasn't a heart this time, but a big sad face.

The note read, "I know I'm charming. I'm still not sleeping with you."

He turned around just in time to see his mother catch sight of the note. He gave her a big grin and shrugged his shoulders.

"She just won't take no for an answer."

She scowled over at him, waving her wand and causing the charm to disappear onced more, this was getting significantly less amusing by the minute. Not paying attention to the fact that his mother was now witnessing the spectical. With a wave of her wand, she cast a bright green toxic sign and underneath in red letters read 'Caution: Herpes!'. She smirked and settled back into her chair. It was then that she noticed that the teacher had been watching, but at that point it was impossible to tell her that it wasn't her, so she tried her best not to show any affect.

He cast aside the caution sign and scowled at the girl.

"Mommy! Alexandria is being mean to me!"

He watched in amusement as his mother dropped her head in disgust. She's been putting up with this kind of thing from him for years. Very little he could do would surprise her at this point, but they got along marvelous most of the time.

While she wasn't looking, he quietly directed his wand toward Alex and wrote in permanent ink directly across her forehead, "VIRGIN!"

When his mother looked up at Alex and back at him he gave her a huge grin and held out his hands in professed innocence.

"It wasn't me."

Alexandria rolled her eyes at his comment and after a moment she saw his wand point out at her. She knew that he had done something horrible to her, but she looked around and couldn't see it. It wasn't till the girl next to her began to snicker and gesture to her forhead did it occur to her to look at her face.

Slowly, Alex pulled out a small, hand held mirror and her eyes grew wide locking with the letters that bled against her forehead. She muttered a concealment spell that only partically hid it before glaring at Dominic. In her burst of anger, she grasped the mirror firmly in her hand and hurled it at him, hoping to hit him hard.

Dominic used his wand to stop the incoming mirror. Thankfully, he had more time than he had with the candlestick. His chest still hurt where she'd hit him with that. Plucking the mirror out of mid air he gave her a nasty smile and shoved it into his own pocket.

"Fuck, so abusive. I hope her father isn't like this with you," he quipped without thinking.

When he looked up at his mother he suddenly realized that he'd gone too far. The look on her face was one he'd seldom seen directed at him but one he knew enough to shrink back from.

"I'm sorry," he said quickly, but Summer only shook her head.

"That's enough, Dominic," Summer said quietly, her voice hard. "My classroom is not a stage for your childish bickering. Clearly, you two have some issues to work out. Miss Vaisey, if you would please take your new seat. You'll be sitting beside Dominic until the two of you can behave yourselves. And I believe that little display garnered you both a week of detention, scrubbing my classroom from head to toe, without magic. You'll either learn to get along, or you'll learn to tolerant the other's presence."

Dominic wanted to argue but the look on his mother's face made that impossible. Instead, he just grumbled an affirmative and shot Alex an evil glare.

"Yes, step-mother dearest." She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. She was more than a little upset with Dominic and even more frustrated that she was being forced to sit next to him. It wasn't her fault that the teacher had raised her son to be a manipulative, bullying prick.

In annoyance, Alex gathered her things and moved over next to him. "I suggest that we at least pretend to like each other very quickly so I am not stuck here for very long." She told Dominic the moment she got close enough, not caring whether his mother heard her or not.

She slumped into the seat next to him, spreading her stuff on the table, running her hand through her hand, pulling it off her face.

"You are a prick." She muttered, "All I asked for was to be left alone."

"I suggest you be nice to my mother. It's not her fault you've got a violent temper."

Sure, he's goaded her into it and he knew that, but what was with the throwing things at him. Thank god she'd been way over there, god knows what she would have done if she'd been within reaching distance. Only ... now she was.

"Fine, you want to play nice?" He moved his chair over to hers, a loud grinding noise beyond obvious in the room, and casually threw his arm over her shoulders. Inwardly, he was laughing but outwardly he was perfectly calm as he lounged against her. This close, he swore he could hear her teeth grinding. "This is cozy. Huh?"

"No, but it is her fault that she raised a horrible, rotten child." She told him, cringing as he put his arm around her.

"Look," She said, shoving him off of her as forcfully as she could, "I know I'm gorgeous, but you must try and keep your dirty hands off of me!"

With that, she pushed her chair away from him, sunk back into her chair and crossed her arms with a pout.

"Just because you're too prissy to get my charm doesn't mean it's not there."

He laughed aloud when she shoved him away. She was getting more and more amusing to play with. When was the last time someone had thrown something at him when he wasn't on the quidditch pitch. Hell, maybe he was slipping. Though, if this was her idea of restrained while in a classroom in front of his mother, he wasn't sure he wanted to meet her unsupervised.

At her last words, he smirked and idly leaned across the table toward her.

"Please. If I'd wanted you, I could have had you by now. I had to make up a fake quidditch meeting to convince you to keep your filthy hands to yourself."

She rolled her eyes at him this had gotten too far out of control, all she wanted was to get through the class. She glared at him.

"Trust that if you had not put me under that charm I would have not been there." She told him softly, though she couldn't help but think that the kiss had been rather nice. Sighing, she shook the image from her head and slumped into her seat even more.

"I'm no longer dignifying you with a response." She said, crossing her arms over her chest and staring directly ahead of the class.

"You're giving me the silent treatment? What are you going to do if I keep talking? Cover your ears and hum?"

As the minutes ticked on and she refused to speak the situation got a little less amusing. All he wanted to do was starting kicking her chair, but that seemed like it might cross the line from tormenting her into temper tantrum territory. So, he sat in silence for as long as he could, pretending to listen to his mother speak but really pouting. He would not be ignored.

"So, who do you really hate? Oh, forget it. I'll just guess. It's for the next time I cast a love charm on you. I still think our lives would both be better if you would lighten the hell up. And just because I couldn't stomach fucking you doesn't mean someone else wouldn't. So, who should get the honor? I bet filch hasn't gotten laid in decades. I'd be doing the entire school a favor ... or, you would."

Alexandria heard him speaking and tried to drowned him out with his mothers speach, trying to do anything to block out what he was saying.

She sighed again and streched her arms on the table before dropping her head in her arms. "Sod off, Dominic. I'm done, I give up and you are a sick pig." She told him. She was hoping that with the surrender that he would get bored and leave her alone.

Dominic was trying to think of something even more outrageous to say when the class was dismissed and everyone started to leave. He almost wanted to grab Alex and tell her that they weren't done here, but that probably wouldn't go over well, so he just sat back and said nothing.

As she turned around he shot a charm at her back and the word, "Ice Princess" stretched over her shoulders in big black letters.

He would not be ignored.
