Stiles had been coming back from letting Batman have a pee when the Headmaster’s voice rang throughout the school. The loud and sudden noise had caused Batman to take off running which caused the teen to try and follow the quick puppy. But in the chaos Stiles had lost Batman and he had tried to look for his dog except he had the unfortunate luck of running to a teacher who had marched Stiles straight to the Great Hall.
So the teen had forced to stay in the Great Hall while his mind was on his dog wondering if Batman was okay. He had paced back and forth, ranted at a teacher whom wouldn’t let him out and Stiles ended up with a detention, and 40 minutes in Stiles sat on one of the many sleeping bags as they waited for news. The Great Hall’s ceiling was blank, no doubt because there was a death eater’s mark above the castle or at least that is the rumour that was going around. The teacher’s didn’t deny or confirm anything.
The young Slytherin had been about to get up and pace again when the Great Hall door opened and stepped in Derek and Batman. Stiles was instantly up on his feet and ran his way over to the two, “Batman! You’re okay!” The puppy raced to his master and Stiles knelt and hugged the not so small puppy. Stiles smiled up at Derek, looking at him like he was a hero, “did you find him? Thank you!”
