Wan glanced over at the not-so-subtle mention of getting everyone's names. He looked away when the Professor continued about making them feel welcome, feeling put on the spot by that. He wasn't trying to be rude. Truthfully he liked the grand number of books and promise of knowledge they held. He just felt like he stood out when he was used to being able to blend in so much better than this.
When Edmund came over to take his name, Wan gave it. There was a question of surnames, but Wan shook his head. He had never had one of those. His house, Hufflepuff, was taken down as well. And after Edmund had made the rounds and reported back to Russell, Wan eventually made his way back to the man, too.
Arms crossed and body hunched over so he looked a lot shorter and smaller than he really was, Wan asked quietly, "We've been here a while now. When will they send us back to our rooms?"
