Henley looked slightly ill at ease when he mentioned ghosts. There weren’t supposed to be ghosts on top of everything else, were there? But soon enough he cracked a smile and let out a laugh and Henley was back to being slightly less nervous. She smiled a little bit. “Don’t worry me like that. I have no idea what to expect in this place. If Management,” She gave a little jerk of her head in the direction of Management’s trailer. “Can uproot people from decades in the future, I imagine just about anything is possible.”
“I hope they send me back.” She sighed a little. “I was in the middle of something. I mean, I’m sure everyone brought here was in the middle of something, but that doesn’t make being away from home any more comforting.” Henley kept it vague. She didn’t want to blow The Horsemen’s plans because she let someone on the outside know about them. This was the past after all, and she was pretty certain that the past could unravel the future if the circumstances were right.
“All around.” She smiled, echoing what he’d said. “Once Chicago, once Los Angeles, some other places in between. They brought me in from New Orleans, though. You move a lot. Army?” She tilted her head curiously. Army brats did travel a lot.
