"Tadaima~" Ryo called out into the apartment as he closed the door behind him. Kicking his shoes off, the idol frowned as he heard no one welcoming him back, all the lights were on and he could hear noises coming from the TV from living room. Picking up his bag, Ryo walked further in, collecting Miyuki's toys from the floor on his way. Curiously he took a peak into the bedroom as there was no one either in the kitchen or living room, and a smile formed on his lips as he laid his eyes on the double bed. Both Hiroki and Miyuki were laying there, sound asleep over the covers. Switching the light off, Ryo walked back into the living room, picking his acoustic guitar from where he kept his instruments safely away from the baby. The only awake member of the family sat down by the kitchen table, setting a pencil and a notebook down on it before lifting the guitar to rest on his lap as he played some simple melodies, fingers sliding over the strings easily.
Ryo was left alone for about an hour, during which he managed to finish the song he'd started a while ago. He was still playing the guitar though, most likely going through the song, as he heard someone gargle. When turning around, Ryo found Miyuki standing in the doorway with some of her fingers in her mouth. Smiling widely at her father, she tried to speak now that she was standing still and didn't have to focus on walking. "Papa," she managed to say after a while, smiling even wider as she noticed that Ryo paid her attention.
Smiling widely down at his daughter, Ryo put down his guitar as he got up from the chair and walked to the little girl. Crouching down, Ryo ruffled her hair softly, "Is Hiroki still sleeping?" He asked, and lifted her up in his arms as he got a nod as a response. "Should we go and wake him up? Ryo cheerfully went on, watching the expressions on Miyuki's face as they walked by the window on their way to the living room where he placed the guitar on it's place and hid the notebook somewhere inside the bookshelf. It was getting late and they should eat, but he couldn't very well cook with the girl in his arms, which meant that Hiroki would have to get up. Walking to the bedroom, Ryo smiled widely as he laid his eyes on Hiroki, sleeping on his back and looking cute and innocent (and very kissable, he noted). "Such a lazy papa isn't he? Sleeping in the middle of the day, will you wake him up?" He asked Miyuki as he walked towards the bed and placed the little girl to sit on her father's chest. "He'll wake up if you kiss him, like a princess~" Ryo joked as he watched the girl. Delighted to see her another favorite person in the world, Miyuki not so gently placed both of her hands on Hiroki's cheeks as she leaned forward to place a sloppy smooch on his lips.
It didn't take too long before Hiroki woke and once he'd blinked a few times, he noticed that the girl staring down at him was Miyuki. "Mhmm...," the younger father hummed and while yawning he took his both arms around the little girl. It wasn't until then, when he held Miyuki close to his chest that he noticed Ryo standing at the side of the bed. "Uhm... welcome home..."
"Been home for at least an hour already," Ryo said with a smirk on his face. "But then Miyuki came to me and we decided that it was about the time for you to get up." He went on as he took the girl back into his arms, speaking more to her than to Hiroki. As the younger one didn't get up from the bed though, Ryo turned to look at him as he lifted Miyuki to sit on his shoulders. "We're hungry, get up."
"I'm cooking?," Hiroki mumbled questioningly as he sat up on the bed and put his legs over the edge. He wouldn't mind though, cooking was quite fun after all, but cooking the first thing you did after a nap didn't sound too great. He would have to wake up a little bit first. "Or are you?"
"I can cook?" Ryo answered after having pretended to think about it for a while. "But I'll need you around?" He said with a smile on his face before taking a better grip of Miyuki as he started to walk towards the kitchen with her still on his shoulders. "You're tall now aren't you?" He talked to the little girl on their way. "Even taller than Hiroki, ain't that something?"
Once Ryo and Miyuki were out of the bedroom, Hiroki quickly rolled over so he lay on his stomach and then looked over his shoulder at the door. "Moou don't leave me alone here!," he called after Ryo and Miyuki. Though as he only heard how Ryo laughed in reply, Hiroki hurried out of bed and then headed for the kitchen. There he found Miyuki on the floor and Ryo looking through the fridge and after having seated himself on the floor as well and grabbed Miyuki to have her sit in his lap, Hiroki looked up at his husband. "What we having?"
Looking down at Hiroki and Miyuki, Ryo smiled before turning back to face the fridge. "I don't know, what do you want to have?" He asked after a while, he really had no idea what to make, they had pretty much stuff here though... As long as he would get something to eat he would be fine, he didn't really care what.
"Riiiice," Hiroki said as he held on to Miyuki's hands. "And something more~" Thinking he'd given the best reply ever, Hiroki gave their daughter his full attention as he leaned forward and brushed his nose against hers. "Right, Miyu, that sounds great doesn't it~?"
"Yeah...thanks.." Ryo mumbled in reply as he took a package of eggs from the fridge to check the date. "...Omurice?" He then asked, as the eggs were still very much usable. That would be fast and easy, which was awesome since he was rather hungry. Without really waiting for a reply (he cooked so he could as well just cook anything he wanted) Ryo grabbed the needed ingredients before moving to work on the kitchen counter.
"Omurice sounds goooood," the younger one replied, still not looking up at his husband but still paying their daughter 200% attention. "Doesn't it, Miyuyu? Of course it does~" Hiroki loved sitting like this, playing a little with Miyuki while Ryo was around to do something else. Just the three of them at home, doing nothing special... it felt very... home.
"Great.." Ryo mumbled as he switched the rice cooker on and moved to slice the other ingredients as well as getting the eggs ready. A small smile formed on his lips as he heard Hiroki talk to the little girl like that, it was rather amusing to listen to, though all parents did it. "Will you get the table ready?" He asked without really paying any attention to Hiroki or Miyuki as he had to keep his eyes on the cutting board.
"Will we?," Hiroki asked Miyuki as he continued to play with her. Of course he would though, but there was nothing that said that he couldn't play a little with Miyuki first. As the girl only giggled little in reply, Hiroki hummed before he let go of her and rose. "Yosh~" It didn't take too long before the table was made and once Hiroki had put down the last spoon, he turned to look at Ryo who was still standing by the cutting board. With a playful smile he took a few steps up to him and then put his arms around the older one's waist while leaning forward to rest his head against Ryo's. "Mhmm~"
Tensing just slightly as he felt Hiroki wrap his arms around him, Ryo grinned widely before setting the knife down and leaning back into the embrace. Moving his head to the side, he reached to softly press his lips against Hiroki's neck. "Ne," He mumbled against the soft skin before looking up at Hiroki, "Kiss?"
Hiroki, never being one to deny Ryo things like this (unless they were on bad terms or something of course), quickly bent down to place a kiss on his lover's lips. It didn't last for too long and it definitely didn't go too far so when it broke just a couple of seconds later, the younger one smiled. "You say that alot~"
"Do I now?" Ryo smirked, not moving away just yet. Though as he felt something, or more like someone touch his leg and glanced down at Miyuki who now sat on the floor, looking up at her fathers with a smile on her face, Ryo slowly moved away from the embrace. Turning around to face the younger one, he quickly stole a kiss from him before turning back to the cutting board and finishing slicing up the ingredients before taking out a pan.
It didn't take too long before the dinner was ready and after having spent close to two hours by the dinner table (of course not eating all that time), they had decided that it was about time to put Miyuki to bed and take care of the dishes. "Okay," Hiroki said as he entered the kitchen again with Miyuki on his arm. Ryo was still currently drying the dishes but as he heard his husband he looked up just in time to see his daughter just a few centimeters away. "Say goodnight to daddy now~," Hiroki said in a hushed voice as he glanced down at Miyuki who was now wearing a yellow pajamas with small animals patterns in pink, yellow and green. As he leaned a bit forward so that Miyuki's face would get closer to Ryo's, Miyuki giggled a little and reached out her hand to touch Ryo's face. "Goodniiight~"
Smiling widely at his daughter, Ryo leaned in to give her a soft kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight~" He mumbled at her before turning back to the dishes, piling them up before returning them to their places. As Hiroki hadn't returned to the kitchen by the time he was done, Ryo dried his hands on the small kitchen towel before walking to where the younger one was sitting on the floor by Miyuki's crib. Any other night he would've sat down on the floor as well, since it certainly was one of his favorite things to do these days, watching the little girl sleep peacefully always seemed to have a calming effect on him. But tonight... Without saying anything, Ryo offered Hiroki his hand, and as the younger one accepted it, pulled him up from the floor and led him to the couch.
Hiroki leaned against Ryo a little as they sat down and switched the TV on. For a little while they just looked at whatever was airing but once a couple of minutes had become ten, the younger one looked at his boyfriend. "How are you today~?," he asked then and while waiting for Ryo to answer, he turned his eyes to the TV again while leaning his head against the older one's shoulder.
Automatically lifting his hand to play with Hiroki's hair, Ryo hummed a little before tearing his eyes off the TV and turning to look at Hiroki. "I... just fine, nothing special," He mumbled, turning back to face the TV. Somehow he felt a bit nervous now, though it wasn't like this was the first time he did something like this, but still... somehow... "What about you? Anything else than napping?" He asked after a little while, smiling at the image of Miyuki and Hiroki sleeping on the bed like they had, actually he sort of regretted not taking a picture now that he thought about it.
Smiling a bit shyly at that, Hiroki looked down and nodded slowly. Of course he had done other things than just napping! Though it hadn't been too much so it wasn't as if there was a lot to tell. "Same," he answered with a small voice, just to be careful not to wake up Miyuki. "Talked to Aoi today... she's still dating that guy... and apparently mom approves of him... she hasn't dared to talk to dad about it yet..."
Taking the remote from the table, Ryo turned down the volume slightly before leaning back against the couch. "She'll be just fine, I doubt your father can get any more angry than when he found out about us.." He mumbled, a bit amused about how awful it had been, though it wasn't funny at all really and they still weren't okay with each other, sadly. "..Ne," He mumbled after a while, looking down at his hand as he spoke. "...Actually, I wrote something..."
The younger one immediately looked at Ryo then, of course realizing what he meant with 'something' as Ryo never really wrote stories or poems without attaching a melody to it. "You did?," he thus asked cheerfully, careful with keeping his voice down.
"Mm.." Ryo hummed and nodded a little in response before getting up from the couch. Grabbing his notebook from the bookshelf and his guitar from where he had left it, Ryo soon seated himself on the coffee table opposite to the couch. Clearing his throat, he placed the guitar on his lap before starting to play some simple notes. Looking up at Hiroki as he started the actual song, a shy smile appeared on his face and biting his lip, Ryo quickly looked back down at the guitar before clearing his throat one more time as he began to sing.
It didn't take too long before Hiroki realized that the song was about him. It wasn't unusual that Ryo did things like these though, but no matter how many times it happened Hiroki didn't get used to it. It was different this time though, now he was sitting here right in front of him, singing in a hushed voice as he sat on the table. He didn't stand on stage... so it was different. Somehow very, very different. The lyrics were deep though, so much different than what most pop songs was these days. Usually they were about how someone had magical eyes or whatever, but what Ryo sang, it was... about them. About the two of them, about... Before long Hiroki felt how tears stung in eyes and he looked down. He didn't want to cry though, but how could he not be touched when... Ryo wrote things like that?
As he hadn't looked up much while playing, Ryo was a bit surprised to see Hiroki like that once he finally finished the song with the awkward smile still playing on his lips. Setting the guitar on the floor so that it leaned against the table, Ryo walked to the couch and sat down next to Hiroki, pulling the younger one into his arms. "Was it that bad?" He asked with a hint of amusement in his voice. Of course he knew Hiroki wouldn't cry because it had been bad, he just had to tease him a bit, Hiroki was being so cute after all.
"No...," the younger one shook his head as he leaned into Ryo's embrace a bit. He loved being close like this and when he felt so touched and grateful it was even better to be close like this. "You're the best...," he continued then and hurried to grab the older one's hand. "Really, really..."
Laughing softly, Ryo lifted his free hand to play with Hiroki's hair. "I am? I guess I am~" He said, teasing the younger one again. It was nice to hear that Hiroki thought of him like that, even though he wasn't anywhere near to being the best. Ryo knew there were many things he could've and should've done differently, and that there still was a lot for him to learn, as a husband and and as a father, especially as a father.
"You really are," Hiroki continued, definitely thinking of Ryo as the best person ever right now. He knew of course that there was no way he was actually right - there was no way that the whole world would agree with him - but to him, Ryo was the absolutely best person ever right now and would be forever. Turning his head so he could look up at his husband, Hiroki held on to Ryo's hand a bit tighter before he stretched up to claim the older one's lips.
Smiling into the kiss, Ryo wrapped his arm around Hiroki's shoulders, trying to bring him even closer. Staying close as the kiss broke, Ryo watched how Hiroki slowly opened his eyes. "You're perfect, you know that?" He whispered, running his thumb along Hiroki's cheek before softly pressing his lips against the younger one's again and slowly deepening the kiss.
Now he went all lying again. Ryo liked to do that, say things that weren't true. But for some reason Hiroki didn't mind at all, he liked it like this actually. Even if he didn't agree and even if he was sure of that the rest of the world was on his side, if Ryo wanted to continue to say things like these then Hiroki wouldn't stop him. Hiroki smiled into the kiss just before it broke and then locked eyes with the older one. Still smiling, he shook his head a little and then turned a bit so he could lean against Ryo's chest. He loved just being able to do these things... it was really nice.
"Don't you disagree with me!" Ryo chuckled softy as he rested his back against the couch. "You are very much perfect," He mumbled as he brushed his fingers through Hiroki's hair, holding onto the younger one's hand a bit tighter. "Your eyes.. and lips, and your smile.." Ryo mumbled, leaving Hiroki's hair alone and instead resting his hand on the taller one's shoulder, his fingers sliding down Hiroki's neck as he went on. "..and your body," he teasingly hummed as his fingers brushed over Hiroki's collarbones, "and the way you look when you sleep, and when you get embarrassed, especially when you get embarrassed, it's all perfect." To put it simply, in his eyes, Hiroki was perfect, even with his flaws, he was perfect.
No matter how much Hiroki didn't want to, he couldn't help but pout at that. When Ryo said things like that he only got more embarrassed and Ryo knew that... which was probably why he said it. "Stop it...," he muttered shyly and let his thumb run over the older one's hand. "You make things... weird..."
Laughing softly, Ryo went back to play with the younger one's hair. "Good kind or bad kind?" He asked after a while, before sitting up properly as he heard a noise coming from Miyuki. Luckily she was only turning around in her sleep, and so Ryo looked back down at Hiroki with a wide smile on his face.
"Uhm...," the younger one hesitantly mumbled and nervously scratched the back of his head. "Go... ba...d or... maybe good... I... or... I don't... but... mostly good... I guess..." Hiroki looked down and to his side a little as he tried to, somehow, make himself smaller and that way avoid Ryo looking at him. It was difficult though, difficult and weird and... a bit impossible, but even so he tried.
"Stupid," Ryo muttered as he got up from the couch, and turned to offer Hiroki his hand as he stood there. "Should we go to bed?" He asked, even though he pretty obviously was on his way already. As Hiroki got up though, instead of moving to the direction of the bedroom, Ryo stepped closer to the younger man, claiming his lips into a kiss.
"Sleep sounds good...," Hiroki whispered in reply once the kiss had broken. Even though he wanted to though, he didn't try to ask for or take any more than that though. The two of them quickly prepared for bed and it wasn't until he had gotten down under his cover and moved closer to Ryo, that Hiroki reached up to kiss Ryo again. Moving so that he got under the older one's cover as well and made sure their covers overlapped, Hiroki put his leg over Ryo's.
Humming a bit as Hiroki moved closer, Ryo wrapped his arm around the younger one, drawing idle patterns on his back. It was nice just to lay down on the bed like this, close to each other, under the same cover, Hiroki's warm body against his. "You know what..?" He mumbled as the kiss broke, a bit tired already but refusing to fall asleep just yet. "I think I'm in love with you..."
Having not expected to hear something like that at all, Hiroki giggled in surprise and then looked away. It was embarrassing to react like this after all, giggle like that. He knew that Ryo liked it though so somehow it didn't feel as bad... but it was still bad. "I'm in love with you too...," the younger one mumbled in reply as he put his arm around Ryo under the covers. "Very much."
"Good," Ryo mumbled, holding back a yawn. Pulling the covers up slightly, Ryo moved his hand down along Hiroki's arm, searching for the younger one's hand under the blankets. "Ne," He mumbled after a while as he entwined their fingers, thinking about what they had been talking about earlier, about Hiroki's sister and her boyfriend and such. "You think we should visit your parents some time?"
"Eh?" Hiroki let out surprising as he then looked up at Ryo again. That was so random, he thought and while Hiroki didn't mind random subjects, this subject was really... kind of scary. "W... why?," he hesitantly asked, the confusion obvious in his eyes. He probably had an idea though, probably Ryo was thinking about Miyuki and finally talking to Hiroki's dad about things, but... but just the thought of that was scary.
"..dunno," Ryo mumbled in response, it would be really bothersome though, especially is Hiroki's father still disliked him as much as he had when they had met the last time.. which was quite a lot. But he really wanted to fix it though, at least for Miyuki's sake, it would be cool if her father and grandfather would at least be in terms with each other.. "You think he'd be ready to forgive me?" He asked, wrapping his free arm around Hiroki. Though maybe that was a wrong word to use, it wasn't really like he had something to apologize for, 'sorry I fell in love with your son' wasn't really what he had planned to say if they would meet.
"I don't know...," the younger one whispered in reply as he closed his eyes. He really hoped so though, he wanted nothing more than that Ryo would be accepted by his parents. It would be so amazing after all, it would be... absolutely amazing. They would be a complete family that way. "Maybe...," Hiroki hesitantly continued before he tipped his head back to look up at the older one. "Maybe if... you know, if you'd talk to your family too...?"
Ryo hummed lowly at that, maybe they should just take a trip to Osaka and talk to both families at once and have it over with like that. It sounded a lot more easier than it would be though.. "I guess I should.." He mumbled after a while, holding onto the younger one a bit tighter. While he very much wanted to get things settled, he didn't really look forward to this at all. There wasn't much to tell at home though, his family knew about them and while they hadn't been exactly pleased to hear that he was building a family with Hiroki, they had accepted the younger one and nowdays were quite fine with him. What he didn't look forward to at all though, was telling them about that they were basically married now. Not only would his mother be shocked, it would probably end up with them teasing him to no end. Which was not fun, Nishikido family could be very cruel that way.
"It sounds scary though...," Hiroki continued as he closed his eyes again and moved a little to make himself comfortable. He was ready to go to sleep fairly soon, he just wanted to agree with Ryo on something. It wasn't as if they could do something about tomorrow or the day after that though, so they didn't have to decide what date or anything, but it would be nice to have it decided.
"I know it does..." Ryo whispered, his hand moving up to play with Hiroki's hair. It did sound scary, and Hiroki probably knew that better than anyone else. But it really bothered him, that he knew he wasn't approved by Hiroki's father. "But it has to be done at some point.." And if you asked him, the sooner the better.
Hiroki was silent then, only nodding a little to show that he had heard what Ryo said. He knew it had to be done and he knew that his father would probably prefer to have it that way too. Even if he, in the end, wouldn't approve of Ryo, at least he would have gotten to make his point clear. Of course he preferred that to having to be with things how they were now. Though, he liked Miyuki that was always a good thing... Randomly lifting his hand a little bit so he could kiss Ryo's chest, Hiroki moved a bit downwards in the bed so he could rest his head against the older one's chest without having to bend down too much. If nothing else, then at least he and Ryo would have each other... nothing would be able to change that.
Closing his eyes as he felt Hiroki's lips against his skin, Ryo let his arm rest over Hiroki's shoulders. "It'll be okay though..." He mumbled tiredly before yawning once. It would be okay, surely Hiroki's father would come to accept them eventually? Even if just for Miyuki's (and Hiroki's) sake, apparently he was quite fond of the little girl, then again who wouldn't be? She was so very adorable after all.
"Hope so...," the younger one mumbled, making the words slur together as sleep was starting to get to him. Things would be okay though, they had to be. It was him and Ryo and Ryo and him and with Miyuki it was difficult to believe that things could go wrong. They would of course be good and even better once they'd gotten some sleep.
