Who: Father!Sam, and YOU
What: Hanging out after his Sunday meeting
Where: Outside
When: Sunday, late morning
Warnings: Will update if necessary
Another Sunday crept up on Father Sam, but with Dean's help, he had his message ready. He missed his church, the fellowship and family feel within his congregation. Back home, he knew everyone in his church, and greeted them all by name. Here, there were too many, and he didn't know half of them.
That didn't stop him from delivering his message with passion, week after week. He was a natural in front of the crowd, he rarely felt nervous or over whelmed. He carried note cards, but hardly ever referred to them. Once he started, the words just flowed from him.
His message this morning had been about compassion. Everyone here had been pulled out of his own time and space, and dropped here with little or no explanation. They still didn't know why they were here, if there was some grand plan, or perhaps it was entirely random. With multiple versions of the same person in residence, Sam struggled to find any sort of reason or explanation himself, much less a message he could share with the masses in an attempt to uplift spirits and keep hope alive.
A task made twice as hard by the fact he did not refer back to his God for support and foundation. Too many people from different walks of life. Sam learned early on it was best to keep God, any God or god, out of his messages. His God was with him, always in his heart, he just didn't speak of him.
And when the message was delivered, and the crowd started to disperse, Sam wandered among the people, looking for someone to talk with.
