o1. Do you find our premises intriguing and feel like you want to bring a puppet in? All is well, as long as the puppet is a fictional character from: books (including poetry and theatre), mythology, movies, musicals, or TV shows/miniseries. We are not accepting OCs, RPFs, or puppets from anime/mange, video games, and history.
o2. Godmodding, flaming, trolling, OOC drama, fourth wall breaking (i.e. letting a character know that he/she is fictional without the other player’s permission) are all unacceptable behaviours.
o3. Once you decided to play a character and after you picked it up, you need to apply with him/her to the community. If your puppet is accepted you can introduce it to the IC community and yourself on the OOC community. All community posts are public; you can also open-post your puppet(s) at it. For restricted posts or posts for which warnings apply, we suggest posting in personal journals. Personal entries (i.e. diary type) are not allowed.
o4. Our RP uses the third person and the present tense. To illustrate what a pup is thinking, kindly use italics (place the ‘thoughts’ between < i > and < /i> - without the spaces – in HTML).
o5. We have a tagging system and we encourage you to use it; actually, we insist! The classic tags are: !open, !intro, !restricted, followed by the tags assigned to you by the moderating teams once your application is accepted (i.e. if you’re playing Mickey Mouse, your tag might be ‘mickey mouse’, or it might not; just pay attention).
o6. You need to pick up a PB for each pup. No PB duplicates are allowed, so please check the character list for the currently in-game PBs. You cannot reserve PBs separately, but you can specify the desired PB in your application.
o7. OOC indications/thoughts that appear in the IC threads have to be before/after the puppet’s voice, in tiny font or in brackets, bearing the mention ‘OOC’ (i.e. OOC: Typist thinks they’re really hot!, or [OOC: Typist thinks they should take a break.])
o8. Kindly apply with only one puppet to begin with. You can apply with a second puppet after a week. For a third one you need to wait two weeks after introducing the second. As for the fourth puppet (and up), the wish to apply will be judged on a case-by-case basis by the moderating team. Please express your desire to pick another puppet in the OOC community.
o9. We have a holds system. You can hold up to two puppets once, and the holds will be judged on a case-by-case basis. On the contrary if you need to drop a puppet, kindly let us know as soon as possible in the OOC community.
1o. If you need a hiatus, let the other players know. Post in the OOC community! We don’t have activity check, but if the moderators decide that your absence is too long and the absence of your puppet is penalizing/preventing the other characters from developing, they might warn you and you might end up losing your puppet.
11. Play nicely. Show respect and understanding to the other players. Try to use correct spelling and grammar – we won’t hunt you with torches for typos, but we ask for intelligible phrases. Ask before acting. And in what concerns the rating, any thread rated over PG13 needs to go in the puppets’ private journals; use the appropriate warnings (i.e. rating: nc17, and a mention in the starting post: ‘Warning: graphic sex scenes in the thread!’). Yes, this implies that you can make a post for only one puppet, and you need to use the right title (i.e. specify ‘(for x)’ before the actual title). General IJ warnings concerning rating apply; we do not accept forms of extreme violence (i.e. torture, rape), extreme kinks (i.e. bloodplay), or any sort of sexual activity involving minors. Please try to abide to these rules!
HAVE FUN!!! And if you have a question, feel free to contact the moderating team!
