WHO: Viola Harper and Henry Montague.
WHAT: Ogden's new clothes.
WHERE: Hogwart's grounds
WHEN: Wednesday after classes, before dinner

Telling some Slytherin bloke, although she probably could count Henry amongst her friends, an adaptation of a Danish fairy tale was probably not something she did every day. Considering that she had no idea if this was a muggle thing or something that might offend Henry, Viola might've chosen to tread more carefully, but she didn't believe Henry to be one who would dislike a simple tale just because of it's background. Though, she wasn't quite sure it would have the same meaning beyond the fact of invisible clothes, because the tale was about swindlers, not disobedience.

She wasn't quite sure to tell a story she hadn't memorised, but Viola knew most of the jist of the story and that was really all Henry would need to know or care about. Right? Self-assured with the general details regarding the story, Viola headed off through the grounds to meet up with Henry near the docks and boathouses. It wasn't nearly late enough to get into trouble, though Viola didn't know if walking around the grounds was off-limits as well. She supposed they would find out, as she approached Henry from behind, clearing her throat and touching his elbow to get her attention.

Henry was interested to hear the story of this Emperor and his clothes, bed time stories had never exactly been the staple at his house and so he had missed out on a lot of them. He enjoyed spending time with Viola as well and so he had agreed to meet her outside by the docks and boathouses and he had gotten there a little bit before when they had agreed. He had sat for a few moments, before he had stood back up just before he felt the hand on his elbow and he turned, raising his arm, his chin dropping so he could see her and he smiled.

"Hello, might not want to get too close, they may be watching," he said even as he stepped forward to give her a hug, never minding that sort of greeting. He didn't think it made a difference either way. "Is sitting here fine, or would you rather go some place else?" he offered.

His height was certainly something to admire as Henry stood - because there wasn't much else to do but notice his height for Viola who was nearly a foot shorter. But she returned his hug warmly. "I'm not sure but I think the rules just say that eight inch thing is in class. They don't want us holding hands or snogging while Professor Spore's back is turned. I'm not sure why anyone would want to miss their cheeks being pinched for a quick kiss, but," Viola trailed off with a shrug and waving her hand slightly.

"Here is fine, we can watch the lake and comment on the weather as we do so," she said with a bit of smirk to her tone. She sat, careful of her skirt (which was the proper length, without charms) as she did so. "How are you doing? Your ears buzzing because of all the talk about you?"

"I think they'd try to find a chance to get us either way," he said rubbing the back of his neck before shrugging his shoulders and smiled. "I rather like getting my cheeks pinched, it means I'm less likely to get a detention,' he pointed out before he nodded his head. Sitting down as well, he stretched his legs out in front of him, looking at the lake for a moment before shaking his head.

"I don't quite know what people are all up in arms about to be honest," he said shifting so he was facing her this time. "I still had boxers on, I wasn't naked, it was like I had gone swimming or something," he explained.

"Most likely. Especially prefects that are wanting to show their worth. Most of them aren't so bad, but they all seem to be so uptight right now. Either everyone else is breaking the rules and that's cause to scream, or they're worried about the rules infringing upon the, and that's cause to yell at people," Viola sighed, turning her body toward his as well. "I don't see what the big deal is really. Ogden is just flexing his muscles to make us behave and make an impression. I think all this destructive behaviour might be bad for us in the long run, but I'm okay with watching it happen."

Viola was certainly not one to judge people solely on the basis of their outwardly appearance, but since she knew Henry as a pretty brilliant kind of character, she didn't feel bad at feeling an attraction to Henry, shirtless and pantsless. She wouldn't tell him that, or let him know by gawking at him (just a few peeks when he wasn't looking) so she kept her eyes connected with his own. "I think people are just uncomfortable with sex I suppose, and clearly shirtlessness leads to sex or something. I don't think bodies are anything to be ashamed of, and it's not as if you were strutting around with look at me, look at me. You were making a point, which flew by everyone's head basically. Also, I think people just like to have their sensibilities offended, so they can talk about it without it being gossip."

Henry listened to her speak, fingers absently playing with the grass he was sitting on, not pulling it up, just tugging at it a little bit. "I suppose so, they might be afraid of what would happen to them if they don't be uptight about them," he said shrugging his shoulders. "Adam's a prefect, I wonder if he would get me in trouble," he said looking up with a bit of a smile, trusting his brother to have his back. "He just wants to show that he's in charge, and that he knows what hes doing, I don't know why, he didn't need to. We knew he was, I don't think anyone would've rebelled this badly if it hadn't been for the rules," he said softly.

Nodding his head he tugged on the grass again, pulling it out of the ground carefully and placing it between his thumbs. Blowing absently, making a thing reedy sound, he smiled a bit. "Sex happens, I don't know why people are so uptight about it. They simply need to accept it as it is and move on. Babies need to be born, society needs t move forward," he said before he laughed, looking up at her as he let the grass fall back down to the ground. "But they also enjoy the gossip, so it seems pointless."

Nodding, Viola leaned back on her hands, stretching out a little to bask in the bit of warmth on the afternoon, even though it was looking to be a little chillier by the docks. "Your brother would probably have you. I think he loves you more than your badge yeah? I don't even see the point of being a prefect. No one listens to them except first and second years. I get the whole, points thing, but really, we don't win anything but a cup and even then it's just a professor's bet. And honour. But I'm not going to work my arse off for the whole house if not everyone is going to do it. I just do my thing. Rules are just, I don't know, someone's way of making students feel like children. At least 1/7th of us or more are technically adults. I suppose I don't see the point of such micromanagement. Excessive giggles, honestly?"

Shaking her head with a bit of disgust, Viola grinned at Henry's little grass-instrument. "Yes it does. Most of them probably don't even think their parents still have sex on a regular basis. Most of them, anyway. Sex isn't a big deal. It can be when one makes it that way, but if it feels good and you're being careful, what's wrong with that?"

"He does I think, although sometimes you never know. If he was in Slytherin like Blythe I might be a little bit more worried, however since he's a Hufflepuff I think I'll be safe," he said listening to Viola, pulling a leg up, and resting his arms against it, chin half against his hand and he nodded his head. "It's to contain order, so that the Head Boy and Head Girl don't have to do all the work themselves, and I suppose it's something for some to aspire to, to be good enough to reach the coveted spot of Prefect," he said hands raising with air quotation marks before shaking his head. "Rules are a way of making people want to rebel more. Look at children, those with strict parents tend to rebel more, those who allow their children freedoms don't," he said before laughing a little bit and shaking his head. "Don't laugh Viola, it might be too much for poor Odgen's head to bear."

"I think my parents are still having sex, I don't know it for sure, but they get along most of the time," he said tapping his chin. "And on Monday mornings Father is always happier than the others so there has to be something going on," he said with a bit of a cheeky grin, shrugging his shoulders as he turned, and laid down on his back, shifting so he could still see Viola, his head turned slightly towards her.

"I think Adam would have to be a completely different person to be in Slytherin, so I'm glad he's in Hufflepuff," Viola said kindly. Adam was a very nice guy, and she generally considered her friends' siblings as friends as well. Plus he was actually nice and not annoying at all like Ophelia or Potter the older. "I really try hard to keep my giggles in, Henry! I really do," she said with a mock sincerity, "It's just hard not to burst into laughter at the sight of some of these oh-so-handsome blokes at school!"

Making a slight face of disgust, Viola shrugged, "My mother is six months pregnant, and has been pregnant at least ten times or something. I've lost count really. But it looks like this one is sticking and fingers crossed, it's going to be a boy," she rolled her eyes and said it a little dryly. "But I don't really care. As long as they're happy, then whatever. I like sex, discussing it about parents and family is a little weird, though. I do wonder what some people think about that sometimes. Like who they would have sex with if they could without repercussions." Looking over at him slyly, Viola asked candidly, "Who would be on your list to have sex with?"

"I do as well," he said thinking of his brother for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders a little bit. Adam was who he was, and he would probably have liked him just as much as he did now even if he hadn't been sorted into Hufflepuff. It was all relative. "I know you do Vi," he said with a bit of a grin, shrugging his shoulders. "But you just have to contain yourself, I wouldn't want you to be stuck with mean old Odgen in detention, he has shifty eyes," he said tapping his cheek. "He might look at you the wrong way and you'd break out in nervous giggles and the where would we be?"

"It's easy to see the signs if you look," he said nonchalantly, not actually that bothered by it on the whole. He was the type to simply move along and accept it, see how things went and then leave it at that. "I hope it is as well, if it makes them happy," he said looking up at the sky, squinting a little bit before closing his eyes and he grinned, opening one eye, seeing the sly look before he closed it again and shrugged. "I don't know, I never thought about it that much to be honest. Perhaps Dominique?" he said musing outside. "You maybe as well," he said before looking up at her again. "What about you? Any guys worth giggling over?"

"Oh, merlin I don't think I want to even think about what he's doing with his eyes. Now if it were Fancourt or Campbell, I might allow it," she said with a slight smirk. "I will have my giggles removed, at any rate."

At Henry's suggestion of sleeping with her, Viola blushed despite herself. It wasn't every day that someone told her she was worthy of having sex with. Viola wasn't as much of a prude as her mother probably wanted her to be, but still, it was kind of flattering to hear that from someone like Henry, who, to be honest was certainly at the top of many girl's lists. She looked nonplussed at his mention of Dominique, she had asked him for a list. And she supposed she would have to give her own too, it was only fair. "I'm not one for just sex, I would like to have some sort of relationship with them, not in the traditional sense either, just, someone I know and trust and can talk with. And who's not a complete prat either. So Simon. And you."

"Well if we're adding teachers in to all of this, I wouldn't mind getting sick a little bit more often, go and see the Nurse from time to time," he said with a grin before he laughed himself and nodded his head. "Not all the time, then people might think there is something really wrong with you, no laughing? They might think you were grown up or something horrible like that," he said jokingly.

"I don't see a problem with casual sex, we have basic needs that need to be met," he said shrugging his shoulders as he shifted a bit on the grass, moving a rock out from underneath him as he turned his head with a smile towards her. "Don't worry, there are people I would date before I had sex with, I wouldn't want to be too mean to people," he said looking back around. "But I generally just don't find dating to be an attractive thought right now, being tied down more than I already am? I don't like it, it makes me itch."

"She's probably already taken advantage of you," Viola said, taking a look at her nails idly. "All those potions and trust at her disposal? Let me tell you, if I was in her position with all these kidlets around, well, you can only imagine the trouble we could get into there." Viola laughed and shook her head at the ridiculousness of that statement and rolled her eyes.

Viola shrugged and picked at her sleeve, "I don't see the problem with it either, for other people. I just don't get as much out of casual sex with a stranger or something like that as I do with someone I like being with. Plus, I think it's more okay for guys to have casual sex than for ladies. It's 'frowned' upon, really. Don't want to be called a slag you know? But it's mostly just jealousy for being so free I think." She nodded in agreement with his assessment of dating. "It's just, so much work. Being responsible for someone else's feelings and to be so, yes tied down to someone at seventeen or whatever, it's just. Why not just do whatever feels right at the moment, if it's dinner or whatever, and then if it happens again great. Just let fate happen how it's supposed to."

"True, who knows if I've been violated or not yet, I only wish I could remember it a bit more," he said with a grin, shrugging his shoulders, not overly finding it that ridiculous. You never knew what some people were like until yo got to know them a little bit better, and he didn't know the nurse that well at all.

"People who call others slags are probably slags themselves and are trying to cover it up so it's not something you should take seriously," he said with a smile, shrugging his shoulders a little bit, shifting a little bit so his head was half resting against her knee. "Mind?" he asked glancing up, the position a little bit more comfortable. "Why don't you just do that then?" he asked looking back around him. "Dinner and then see what happens sort of thing?" he asked.

Viola nodded and hummed in agreement to Henry using her leg for a headrest, her free hand went to play with his hair lightly, biting her lip a little as she thought about what he said. She didn't mind, he was warm and comfortable.

"Or wish they were slags. I don't know. I try to understand people but they make it terribly difficult to do so." Viola frowned a little at his suggestion, not out of discomfort really, she felt that Henry really wouldn't judge her or anything. "Besides Matt Kirke, I haven't been offered dinner or anything else lately."

"People just want to judge others because it means they won't have to judge themselves," he said eyes half closing as she played with his hair, and it felt calming, and he managed a soft smile as he glanced up at her briefly before shrugging. "Then ask someone else out, who says boys have to make the first move?" he asked her simply.

He'd never gotten that part of life, the need to always make sure girls were the ones that were treated like princess's. "I hate always asking people out, I'd like to be asked out for once, it shows people have an interest in me."

Humming thoughtfully, Viola continued to play with his hair before leaning over him with a smile. Henry wanted to be asked out? To have someone show interest in him? Well, she could do that. Viola leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips, touching his cheek with her other hand. Pulling back she smiled at him and raised her eyebrow, "How about a story and then dinner and see where it goes, Henry?"

Of all the things he was expecting, the soft kiss wasn't exactly high on his list. The thought had been there, especially considering how they had been sitting, but he didn't like to assume. It caused too many problems in the long run. But he didn't mind the kiss either and he half smiled, glancing up at her. "The story you were supposed to tell me before you mean?" he asked glancing up at the other with a raised eyebrow. "And the rest of that sounds good as well."

Laughing lightly, Viola kissed him again because she could and he didn't seem to care, it was nice, but then set her brow in a serious manner. Story telling needed a setting and something else. Sort of a mood, but this one had changed differently. She started speaking in a soft voice, still playing with his hair and leaning over him but looking out to the lake. "Well, the emperor's new clothes. Basically these two swindlers come into town. There's a big to-do going on in the empire and the emperor needed new clothes. The swindlers pretend to be tailors and they tell the emperor that they have something that he can't afford, so of course, the emperor wants it. They cut up the cloth and make him a suit, but it's actually nothing - they pretend it's the most amazing suit ever - without letting him see, I believe, and so he walks around the empire, down the streets, showing off his expensive clothes when really, he's just walking around starkers. That's the basic plot of the story, I found a version of it at the castle if you'd like me to read it to you."

He listened to her talk, watching her as he shifted, getting a little bit more comfortable with his head in her lap, legs crossing at the ankles, and arms crossing over his stomach and he looked up, listening to her speak. He was laughing softly at the story and he chuckled when she finished, shaking his head. "No, I think I got the basic point of it," he said shrugging his shoulders. "Well one of them I believe. The first being don't trust crooks and if you can't see it, don't wear it," he said scratching the side of his neck before nodding his head. "You don't need to read it, but you can send it to me if you want? I wouldn't mind reading it."

Viola leaned over him a little as he shifted his head into her lap. One hand still playing with his hair and the other fidgeting with his tie and buttons and coming to rest on his chest, just above his heart. Viola flattened her hand to feel his heartbeat and smiled slightly. "I think don't buy things from strangers is another one. Or don't be the head of an empire. Or be a vain git maybe. What comes around goes around? I'm sure you could get a lot more from it that there's supposed to be." Viola nodded, "Fairy tales are good for that. The book has a lot more other fairy tales too."

His hand raised and he loosened the tie around his neck just a little bit. It was after school, he should be able to relax a little bit. "Well the buying strangers is a bit hard, I don't know all the shopkeepers in the world," he said nodding his head before he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, most of the Fairy Stories I know are scary and simply make me want to live in this world and not the fantasy one that they've made up. Who wants to deal with witches poisoning beautiful women?"

	"I like fruits, and some vegetables, but stories like that tend to make kids wary of them. But I think anyone's teeth would ache with candy all the time. I like my candy to last a long time. I have patience with it, I take my time and eat it piece by piece," Viola said, looking down at Henry and smiling slightly. Now she wanted some candy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"An apple is always the best way to start the morning I think," he said listening to Viola, eyes half closed by now as he relaxed a little bit more, enjoying the fingers playing with his hair.
