Janie needed to be at home. She had a boyfriend, a child, homework, housework... probably actual work somewhere, but didn't want to do any of it. She just wanted to be young, like the other students at college. Young, and carefree, and partying, which was why she'd stayed on campus long after her classes were over.

Monday wasn't always a party night, but for some reason it had been this week. She went to that party and stayed until she was shooed away from the dorm room, then stumbled to a cafe. Hopefully caffeine would wake her enough to go home and face reality.

Of course, she was slumped over on the table beside a full cup of coffee thirty minutes after getting to the cafe.

Given that Bethany seemed to be a bit more gung-ho about training lately, Isabella planned an early morning training session for the girl the following morning, which meant setting up the proper gym equipment at the Hyperion (sure, it had a little ways to go before it was a top-notch training area, but it was a world larger than the Sugar Shack, which the Watcher preferred).

She made her way down the stairs with a thoughtful frown as she heard a commotion. She first thought that a fight had broken out, but further inspection revealed... just one girl was down there.

Anna knew the streets of LA fairly well, considering she'd lived in them before she was forced into high school a few years ago. Until right before she was called as a Slayer. That moment changed her life- had given her a purpose other than doing whatever it took to survive on the streets.

Right now she didn't feel that purpose. There were other slayers, which meant she was free to do normal things. Classes at a community college, being with Vito, taking care of her sister...

They'd all been telling her to get out, make friends, live her life. Anna didn't want to because that meant she would have to risk losing someone- again. She was sick as hell of making friends, getting close to them and some force of nature snatching them away from her. The latest occasion was with a classmate who'd dropped out of school to move to New York City.

She folded her arms and proceeded to pout. So what if she was in her twenties?
