The Grand Return of Anita
Who: Anita and Jodi
Where: The Hyperion
When: APril 3rd, Evening
Anita walked into the Hyperion and looked around. She had mostly decided a while back that she wasn't going to ever come here. It just wasn't her style of place, or the idea of working with others. Either way, it just wasn't her thing. And yet, here she was...almost kind of out of boredom. She wanted to see if any of the rest of these people were half as good as Catherine had been. If they were, maybe she'd stick around for more than just tonight.
Jodi wasn't usually here this late. Normally, she'd be at home, either sleeping or, well... making out with TJ. But tonight? She needed some alone-time. She'd had an EXCEPTIONALLY bad day at school, and didn't want Quinn or TJ to freak out, so... she went to the Hyperion, and was sprawled out in the lobby, studying a book on combat techniques and how to apply patience and meditation to them. She was planning on offering it to Faith as a peace offering.
Anita walked in and tilted her head at the little kid, walking in quite a bit more quietly than she had realized, as the girl hadn't looked up at all when she had come inside. "Hey, is Catherine around?" she asked, walking over to the small kid.
Jodi raised an eyebrow and looked at the girl, blinking as she recognized her from her file. Yes. Jodi had literally studied ALL THE FILES Giles had on every girl. "You're Anita Torres... w-welcome back! Should I call Mr. Giles? Ask him to come in and properly greet you?"
Anita tilted her head at Jodi. OK, she had talked to Catherine and a girl named Sam who hung around some of these people, but neither of them were this girl, so her knowing her name kind of freaked her out a bit. "Back? Never been here," she pointed out. "How do you know my name?"
"My apologies, ma'am." Jodi said, trying to be respectful. "It's just, I've studied the files on all the slayers that are currently known. And I knew that you had at least spoken a few times with Catherine... I just figured you'd been here. Catherine's not here, but is there anything I can help you with?"
"Didn't realize that I was important enough to keep a file on," Anita said with a smirk. She was still a little weirded out about it, but that at least explained a few things about it. "Nah, haven't been by yet, though. Was coming by to check this place out tonight, actually. You guys...do a tour or anything?"
"Not that I know of, but I can show you around. I'm the intern of one of the two big bosses here, after all." She said proudly, giving an adorable grin.
Anita grinned. The kid was cute...for a little nerdy thing that she was. "Fab," she said with a nod. "Let's do it, then." She looked around the lobby. "How does one get a gig to be an intern, anyway? What do you do?"
"I've been studying the supernatural since I was old enough to read. I was BORN for this." She added, both a bit of pride and annoyance in her voice. "I know I' young... but as soon as someone will train me and give me a chance? I'm gonna be a watcher. So... follow me. Tour time!"
"Wasn't aware there was an age minimum to be working around here," Anita said with a shrug. With a nod, she started to follow Jodi around for the tour of the hotel. "Why do you guys work in a hotel anyway?"
"No idea. I just know Mr. Giles bought it out and had the whooooole thing renovated to be an awesome training facility. Plus it has rooms to stay in, a cafeteria, a lounge, and lots more." Jodi grinned cutely and pointed at the first training room. "Right there is the sparring room. That's where Kayla Barnes would have killed me if Ms. Dellallo hadn't yelled at her. Still, with what I was TRYING to tell her about, she ended up taking down a 300 pound Thorrn demon. Aaaand right THERE is the calisthenics room. That's where Faith Lehane slapped me in the head." Oh god... Did EVERY room have some incident of a slayer hating on her?
"Kinda, yeah. I just wanna help, but I think most of the girls resent me being here, or think I'm bossy. One or two of them like me though." When they got to the cafeteria, Jodi pulled a set of keys from her pocket and jingled them. "You hungry? I can fix you something to eat if you like..." Aww. In spite of knowing about Anita and how... off she was, Jodi still just wanted to help.
"Kinda sound like snooty bitches," Anita commented. "Or at least skanks who can't take criticism." While Anita wasn't known for her own ability to handle criticism, she HATED snooty people. Made her think too much on her own family. "And sure thing chicken wing."
"Awesome!" Jodi said with a big smile, the goofball. "Come on... Let's get you somethin' to eat. You must be starvin'..."
"Starvin' is taking it a tad too far, but I could definitely eat," Anita admitted with a grin. She'd be more than happy to get something outside of random TV dinners (the only thing she could cook) in her stomach.
