Sister Bonding-Time
Who: Jodi and Quinn
Where: The Hanson home
When: Monday, April 4th
"Quinnnnnn!" Jodi shouted with a slight whine as she walked into the house, tossing her bookbag to the kitchen floor and hurrying to the living room. "Please tell me you made fresh coffee? I'm having caffeine withdrawl..."
"Yep. It's in the kitchen," Quinn replied. She was sitting on the couch with her legs crossed under her, deeply engrossed in a Pokemon game on her Gameboy. She looked up and smirked at Jodi. "Long day?"
"Yeah. Same crap, different day." Was all Jodi said, as frankly? She didn't want her sister to know she was the lame-ass nerd who got picked on all day. "...You're STILL playing that? What's got you on the Poke-kick all of a sudden?"
Yeah, funnily enough, Quinn would SHANK A BITCH if she knew what happened to poor little Jodi at school, which coming from someone so small? Was HILARIOUS. "Nothing," she replied. "You can make me a coffee while you're at it." She poked her tongue out at Jodi.
"Yeah right, pour your own! I've been surviving the halls of hell all day while you've been levelling up Squirtle or whatever!" She laughed, raising that eyebrow that TJ tended to love so much.
"God, Squirtle is a little bitch. And this is RESEARCH for WORK. Shut up." Uh huh. Suuuuure. "This stuff takes serious concentration, Jodi."
"Sure it does. Because I'm sure when it's time for a promotion, your job's gonna hang on whether or not you can tell the district manager what level Pikachu evolves at or whatever." Oh my GOD! When did anyone ever hear Jodi this cheeky and outgoing?
"It COULD, for all you know," Quinn replied, scowling cutely at Jodi. "Soon as you're done over there, you should come hang for some sister-bonding time."
Jodi fixed them BOTH a coffee, and walked back in, setting Quinn's down in front of her, and plopping down onto the sofa. "Done and done. So what's up?"
"Thaaaaank you," Quinn said about the coffee, saving her game first before turning it off and setting the Gameboy down on the coffee table. "Not a whole lot. Met one your school friends the other day," she snorted. "What about you? How are things going?"
"Just can't wait to get through the next four years and never have to be in high school again. But enough of THAT. Which of my friends did you meet?" She asked, taking a lonnnng sip of the coffee. Great. 13 and addicted to coffee. Fantastic.
"It'll be over before you know it. Promise," Quinn replied, lifting her cup to take a sip of her coffee. She prefered it luke-warm (the weirdo), so she'd let it cool for a bit. "Um, some chick named 'Sin'? She has bright orange hair."
"Oh... Cynthia. Yes, she's... very clumsy." Hey, it was the first thing she noticed about the girl due to watching her train. "She doesn't like me very much."
"Yeah. She mentioned a couple of girls don't like you," she replied, actually being nice enough to go into detail there. "Can't imagine why, though." Quinn smirked.
"We sort of work together. After school. I don't think they like how 'by-the-book' I am." Jodi grumbled, honestly wanting to be the best watcher she could be.
"Maybe you should reconsider your approach to things?" Quinn asked, raising her eyebrows. "One day you have to tell me what it is you do after school."
"Yeah. One day." Jodi smirked, not ever truly expecting to tell her. "So what HAVE you done all day, besides throw balls at little animals?"
"Bitches had it coming," Quinn replied. "Um, mostly staying in today." Thinking about her crush on a STRAIGHT girl. AWESOME. "You'll notice the tracksuit pants. It's my day off: DON'T JUDGE," she added quickly. "What're you going to run off to do now?"
"TJ, probably." She said, just to make Quinn bristle a bit. "Maybe even several times."
"Awesome," Quinn replied, scowling at Jodi cutely. "Will you be home for dinner, or are ya gonna eat out?" Realizing how she'd just phrased that, she face-palmed.
"Ohhhhh, I'd say I'll be dining at the seafood emporium tonight." Oh for Christ's sake... "And you? Got a hot date tonight, other than Charmander?"
Oh, was that a little vein pulsing in Quinn's forehead? How cute. "Sadly, Charlie's the only one keepin' me company tonight. But give it time," she grinned.
"Poor thing. Don't worry. Your 13 year old sister wont be getting more sex than you forever." Oh man. OH MAN. "Seriously though... you know I love ya, sis. I really AM sorry to hear about your fiance."
"Ah, it's all good," Quinn waved her hand in a 'eh, it happens' kind of way. Sure, she was pissed at first, but looking back, it WAS kinda funny. "Now go on, kiddo. Go do things I'd rather not think about."
