Who: Gwen and Neely
Where: Shattered Records
When: Sunday, March 27th
Neely had had a surprisingly slow day, for a change, and was grateful for it. She'd worried that Payton would take a few days off (which, thankfully, hadn't happened yet), although, in saying that, EMMY had taken a personal day, which sucked. She really needed to think about hiring more people. She liked Anya well enough, but she could be... abrasive, sometimes. The blonde was currently standing behind the counter, dressed in blue jeans and a pink tank-top, her long blonde hair falling freely over shoulders, wearing just a HINT of make-up, as she went over the books, making sure everything was in order.
"Well FUCK ME... this place is seriously the BALLS, Neely, damn!" Yep. That was our Gwen, alright. Hey, did anyone ACTUALLY think Blake came to visit LA by herself? Seriously? Anyway, with a cute pink streak dyed into her blonde hair, and wearing denim cut-offs and a Broken Sunrise baby tee, the slayer pranced into the store, going a little googly-eyed when she saw Neely. "Dude. YOU'RE gonna be my mother-in-law? Looking like that? Not fucking FAIR."
Neely looked up at Gwen and gave her that lopsided grin that she was well known for. Okay, so the idea of torturing Gwen right now with VARIOUS sexual images was highly appealing. If only because she and Blake had tortured her MORE than enough themselves (of course, in an entirely different way, mind you). "So, what brings you here on this fine day today, Morrison?"
"Well, Bee wanted to do some bonding with Rachelle, so... I figured why not come see if I can get us past 'getting along' and into being, well... friends." This was what made Gwen's crassness so endearing: the fact that she could still be like this.
Neely sighed and closed the book that she'd been reading from before taking a key from her lanyard and opening a drawer under the counter, pulling out a bottle of Jack and two glasses before nodding upstairs. "Nothing says 'trying to be friends' like alcohol," she explained, leading her fellow blonde up to her office.
"Oh hell yes." Gwen laughed, extending a hand to the other blonde. "I'm takin' care of your girl, so you know. And I mean that in a sweet way, not in a 'daily multiple orgasms' way."
Setting the glasses and bottle down, Neely gave Gwen's hand a shake with nothing aggressive about it. "Oh, I'm sure you mean it that way too," she smirked before pouring them each a tall glass. She took a seat on the small couch in the room. "She seems happy with you... she's been really giggly lately, I've noticed."
"Neely... I gotta say: I've NEVER loved anyone like I love that girl." Oddly, Gwen actually seemed more centered and... calm now, than she ever did. She took the glass and sipped from it, sighing happily. "Ahhh... good shit. So, you keepin' Rachelle all happy?"
Neely took a sip of her own drink and looked over at Gwen, realizing that... when they first met, Gwen was a WRECK. This was as healthy and as happy that the werewolf had EVER seen her. "I am. She's got her BFF and her groupie, as well." She laughed and rolled her eyes. "She GAVE me permission to have sex with ASH, which just boggles my mind."
"EWWWWWWW" Gwen scrunched up her face, looking cutely grossed out there. "Dude. Just... no. NO. He's like a BROTHER to me. Since Patience is like my sister. Ok, bad example, since I've gotten all groiny with her like TONS of times, but still. Speaking of which... now THAT puts me in an odd situation. The whole Two Patiences thing."
Okay, Neely had to grin there. It was fun traumatizing Gwen. STFU. "Yeah, sucks to be you, huh?" She laughed. "Old Patience is doing fine, as far as I can tell. Although hey, better sense of style now," she joked.
"Yeah... I need to see her soon. I've been trying to be there for New!Patience just because, well... 1. She lives near me, 2. She's EXACTLY like the one I went to school with, and most importantly? 3. She's got NOBODY. The one here? She's still got Ash, she has YOU, she has Iris... she's got a few people. Poor thing in Vegas? Bitch got NOBODY but Pat."
"I hear that necessarily isn't a bad thing, though," Neely replied with a chuckle. Yes, she'd heard stories about Pat and his... endowment. "But I get what you mean. Get her out more, eh?"
"Yeah. I gotta stop by and see Demon!Patience while I'm here though. If she ain't ready to shank me by now, at least." Gwen smirked, finding the aggressive streak in this version a bit... amusing. "Anyway... LOVE the store, babe. For reals. I plan on buyin' a few things before I leave... give me and Bee some shit to play on the drive home."
Neely just found Patience amusing in general, but didn't bother to say that one out loud. "Buy," Neely repeated with a laugh, shaking her head. "You're family now. You want something? It's yours. ...Just, y'know. Within reason." She smirked.
"D'awwww. You're sweet." Gwen smirked, taking another swig of her drink. "I won't even make you all jealous-or-grossed-out by talking about how awesome PK is in bed."
Neely rolled her eyes and laughed, "Yet ANOTHER woman that my wife wants to bone. I might have to watch that, though," she joked.
"Dude. If your version of PK wants to get it on with Tits McGee? DO NOT MISS IT." Jesus. Only Gwen. "Hell, videotape that shit and let ME watch. If you want I'll even torture Blake with it."
"I think me and you would make WONDERFUL partners in crime," Neely admitted. She realized that if they'd got to talking sooner, they could have avoided a LOT of unpleasantness, but better late than never, right?
"Hey, I'd love to hang out with you. Seriously... aside from PK, you're one of the only people I could actually see being able to tolerate me." Gwen said with a smirk, finishing off her drink.
Neely laughed and gave a conspiratorial look around, "You HAVE met my wife, right?" She gave her a cheeky grin. "Alright. You've built a bridge. Now go on and fuck my daughter like you know you want to." She paused briefly, her eyes widening slightly, "I can't believe I just said that."
"I kinda love you, Neely. Seriously." Gwen laughed, shaking her head as she stood up. "On the bright side, at least now the car is OURS, so... gettin' our stank all over it is totes ok."
"There's always a silver lining," Neely replied, smiling as she opened the office door to let Gwen out. "Come back anytime." Then? She poked her head out the door and yelled down the stairs to Anya. "Let Gwen take whatever she wants!"
