Perhaps fittingly given who I'm playing I disappeared for quite a while there, huh? Sorry about that, guys - RL's been repeatedly hitting me for 6 since Christmas between work finally taking off (one of my previous projects won a fairly prestigious award, so the inbox has been fairly well flooded), sorting out somewhere for my better half and I to live once he finishes Uni, parental and medical dramas... Short version being that writing... kinda got chucked by the wayside.

But I'm back, and itching to get Enfys back out of her box.

To cover for her absence, I'm positing that her mom finally noticed something was up and dragged her off to some trendy new-age sleep guru - a decision Fizz has been fighting tooth-and-nail since leaving Britannia probably didn't do much for her sanity. She'll be arriving back... sometime soon, hopefully?

Keiran, on the other hand, is having a much better time and is in Europe promoting his latest book.

Hey, everyone. I've now officially moved into my new place, and our wireless is all set up, so I should be around more often than not again. Your service should resume!

Arthur is still in Florida, and Larry is in NYC, but the others are available if you need them; feel free to give me a poke on tag them on the main comm. Also, Lexi-mun Abby, give me a poke when you have some time; I want to discuss a little bit of plot with you before unleashing it.

Sooooo, I've been feeling kind of abysmal for the past couple of weeks, which is why I have not been active basically anywhere. D: Sorry about that!

HOWEVER, I am hoping to be around more now, and try and catch up on the threads that have been languishing. If anyone wants to bother/be bothered by Morgan, Mike or Florence, give me a wave!

Just an FYI for anyone cruising around Britannia -

Of The Lake is currently closed. No explanation is posted, no one is picking up the mail (which is probably just crammed into the box), and through the window one might see several half-finished projects laying untouched.

The Round Table is also closed, though a sign is posted there proclaiming 'Closed For Extended Mental Leave'.

Nathan has moved himself, his emo, and his truck into a local motel and can be seen around the bar and the liquor store.

Lexi has locked herself in her apartment, except for occasional forays out to stare at the bus schedule or to get groceries.

Both of them are retarded, I know. But if you need either, that's how their situations are at the moment!

I apologize for being somewhat scarce the last few days -- I was not expecting holiday social & family obligations to hit quite so hard. As it is, I've been going non-stop since Christmas Eve and it probably won't quite let up until New Year's Day.

First off, apologies for the disappearing act: November / December 2009 has been a little bit mad for me, what with starting the 'first real job' (and being rapidly promoted from Office Junior to almost running the Production Department, eek), trying to settle back into living with the parents (yay, financial funk!) while splitting time with the better half, bla bla bla. RL pwnd me for a bit there *sigh* BUT now things are settled I'm back.


Hopefully everyone had a great *Midwinter Festival of Choice* and will have an equally great New Year :)

EDIT: Merlin plot has been hashed out with the mods, but if anyone wants plot with Enfys or Keiran then hitting me here, via email or over AIM suits me fine - on which note I should point out that my AIM SN has changed from Hobanasaurus to DistantEmrys.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the Ector De Maris hold - I'm working out a backstory in 'this life' with another rper who's looking to join in the not-too-distant, so hopefully I'll have that done soon.

So, my store is opening this weekend. All week we've been unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and I've been training cashiers. Now we're open and it's crazy. Hence me being scarce and short on brain cells, which will probably continue for a while. However, I should be around more often again after this weekend, so I'll get to tags and fun stuff like that then.

Well that sounds official. Just a few modly type reminders/announcements.

1. Thank you guys for staying active. Active players really are the lifeblood of an RP comm, and hopefully an indication that you're enjoying yourselves. Real life does come up, and we know that; activity rules are the same as they've been, but just a reminder as we get into heavier loads for students and closer to *gasp* the holidays; if you're going to be gone for any length of time, your mods and fellow players appreciate any heads up you can give (especially so no one gets threadlocked unintentionally and we don't have to play havoc with continuity). Feel free, as ever, to email or PM either of the mods with issues. We want everyone to enjoy their pretendy funtime games.

2. We're entering the middle of the game, now, in some important ways. We've been around long enough to have established characters and plot lines. Be aware that NPCs may start reacting and interacting to things that have gone on. The people of Britannia have dealt with a lot of new people, businesses, and relationships recently, and they may be dealing with them well or poorly. How you cope with these developments is up to you, within the realm of believability, but know things will be cropping up that are out of your characters' control.

3. Speaking of which! Please note that beginning immediately, all Arthurians' dreams become dramatically more intense, and in almost all cases, unpleasant. It is up to you if this effects your pup immediately, or takes a little to wear them down, but it will be continuing for (at minimum) the next few weeks

I haven't been around in months - sorry, life got kinda hectic and I'm trying to pick back up with a lot of stuff, including this. I know I've missed a ton of plot and new characters (hi new characters!), so would it be better for me to:

...re-into my characters like new?
...make up a reason they've been gone?
...or get a summary of what's happened and give my characters general knowledge of such?

So, people may have noticed that I've slowed way, way down on my tagging and that I'm kind of horribly behind everywhere. Basically, about a week and a half ago, a place I'd interviewed a while back called me up and offered me a job, but I'd have to drop everything and move to New Jersey for about eight weeks for training. Cue me frantically loading everything up in my car and driving across the country, only to remember, oh yeah, I've worked cushy desk jobs for a few years and am now soft in the ways of standing on my feet for eight hours.

I'm now holed up in a hotel room with feet that hurt and are planning, along with my legs, to mutiny and get a one-way flight to the Caribbean. When I drag my sorry, abused body home at night, I sometimes have enough brain power to turn on my computer. Sometimes.

But! I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Unfortunately, I've lost a lot of the tabs I had opened, telling me where the crap I am as far as RPs. And I haven't been around as much for plotting purposes. I am attempting to fix both - see: Nate thrown into Larry's concert thread, just in case I was supposed to have him talk to someone and can't remember who or where; just go up and bug him (or if someone wants an apology, he's kind of in the mood for those, too, so get them while they're hot) - but if you want to nudge me about something, please do!

Anyway, the end on my tragically busy life, I guess. :) Hopefully I'll adjust soon and have more energy to play!

*waves* Hullo! Um. I am not new, I am the same player as Tiernay and Nissa, but I sort of felt that this character might benefit from a little explanation.

This is Sergiusz Jacek Nowak, formally Sir Griflet, who I am crazy about, although I admit he is a really odd character to be nuts about. Early on in the development of the Arthurian legends Griflet seems to have been one of Arthur's major, heroic knights, but he faded into the background, and by the time Mallory wrote pretty much the only story about him that survived was the account of his knighting. He was the first person Arthur ever knighted, because he begged the favor of him so he could go avenge his former master. This particular wish got him beat to a pulp, but he won! I figure he spent most of his time after that being Kay's gofer.

Sergiusz is perfectly well aware he used to be Griflet, and sort of still is Griflet, except for the part where he is Sergiusz, not Griflet, oh man, there is no good way to put this. More importantly from his pov, and possibly yours, with our current legal shenanigans, he is a police detective!

Hello! This is Aine (Emy enabled me to join) and I live in far Northern California where I spend almost every waking moment online...

And this? This is Ciara Dyngferch. Ciara is 24, a trust fund kid, and rather your typical bored aristocratic sort. She feels like she's destined for great things, but as no one's telling her or showing her... she doesn't have the motivation to make it a reality.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemuns! I bring you a couple of modly updates.

First: we now have a formal drop policy, which hopefully won't apply to any of you. :D Basically it's just covering our butts in case of plot holes; let us know if you have any questions.

Second and far more fun! There is now a town directory, listing the buildings and businesses of Britannia and the employees thereof. Check it out to see what the town has to offer, and what it's still missing. :D If you have an addition, be it your character's workplace or just an NPC waitress you'd like noted, leave a comment on the entry (it will be screened for tidiness).
