Who: Regulus and Narcissa
Where: Their new house
What: Talking and confrontations
When: Just after this
Rating: TBD (some swearing)
Status: Incomplete

Narcissa had indeed seen the newspaper article about Regulus being arrested. That had confused her and made her distressed but she hid it easily enough. She didn't want to confront him straight up. She wanted to calm down first, she didn't want to ruin their friendship, he meant to much to her. Regulus always had been her favourite cousin so it made sense that she would want to confront him when she was a lot calmer than she had been. When she had seen his post though she thought that it would be a good a time as any. So inviting him over to the house to visit seemed like a perfect time to do so.

Plus she did want to see him again, she missed seeing his cousin even if it had only been a week or so. Yes, that was her mother instict speaking but she always looked out for her family, especially him as he was the baby of the family. She couldnt' help it, it was just who she was.

Making sure everything was ready for Regulus's visit, she took a deep breathe to calm herself before waiting for him to arrive. She wanted answers but she also wanted to make sure he was alright and she didn't want to stuff it up. Especially as they were in this strange place which wouldn't help matters.

Regulus was completely unaware of his cousin's motives, she had simply let him know the time and Regulus had been willing to comply - he'd always held her in high regard. Five minutes to the hour Regulus promptly apparated from his flat to the front step of the home Cissa had claimed here in Las Vegas. There must have been wards placed to announce his arrival for he'd just raised his hand to knock when it was open wide to allow him entrance.

The maid who had let him in led him back to Cissa's sitting room with only silent nods and hand gestures - traits he was sure Cissa highly encouraged. She really did know how to manage her home.

Regulus wasted no time leaning down to greet his cousin with a kiss to the cheek, who said Blacks couldn't be affectionate, before he took the seat opposite her.

"I must say Cissa, I do feel some modicum of regret for not taking your offer," he said politely with a smile, "you always did keep an impeccable manor." Regulus was only half sincere, he was quite comfortably situation with Al and he had no intention of leaving him.

Narcissa was waiting for Regulus in the sitting room where she had organised some tea and biscuits for th two of them. She wanted this to go well and she needed them to be relaxed for that. So why not have tea and biscuits, they always seemed to work after all. Making sure the maid new what to do she settled back in a seat and waited.

Hearing the footsteps approach made her quickly raise to her feet to go greet her favourite cousin. Embracing him, she gave him a kiss on the check of her own before sitting again.

"Thank you Regulus," she said blushing slightly at the compliment. "It isn't too late for you to move in if you want to. You are always welcome whether it is today or a year from now," she said giving him a smile. Though if you are happy where you are I definitately won't complain," she told him truthfully. Of course given what he had been arrested for... who knew.

Regulus grabbed a biscuit before sitting back with an easy smile. "Only a modicum of regret, Cissa, I don't have personal servants back at the building." Room service hardly counted as housing staff.

"I am quite happily situated."

He reached for his cup before continuing on.

"So, to what do I owe the pleasure of your invitation?"

"Nothing to stop you getting some," she said returning the smile. "Where are you living anway?" she asked him curious.

"Can't I just want to see my favourite cousin when I want to?" she asked him. Yes that was trulyy apart of wanting to see him but she also wanted to know what in the name of Merlin he had been thinking.

"Tell me, how have you been? Doing anything interesting?" she asked him like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Yes, but where would I put them?" It was the practical point, there simply was no room in his two bedroom flat he shared with Al. "I still live at hte Zenner building."

Regulus did not suspect anything in his cousin's tone that should warn of her ulterior motives, and he willingly pressed on with his response. "Oh, we might have enough players for a good quidditch match, so that's a bit exciting." This was hardly a lie. Regulus had been rather good at quidditch when he played for Slytherin House, and he had enjoyed it immensely, it was one thing that set him apart from Sirius in a good way.

"I've been fine." That was the lie, but he'd said it so frequently that he believed he pulled it off rather well.
