Who: Spike and Damon Salvatore
When: Tonight
What: Spike is patrolling for the Fang Gang and runs into a different vampire
Where: The streets of Las Vegas
Status: In Progress

Spike had been going out by himself pretty much ever since him and Buffy had run into Angelus. Buffy was really the only one he could stand to patrol with, maybe Faith and Rupert on occasion, but primarily Buffy. And with Buffy in leader mode and the fact that they had yet to talk about what Angelus had said, or anything else for that matter, he preferred to go out alone.

Of course going out alone had proved to be a good thing when he'd run into Drusilla, which had been interesting, to say the least, but he didn't exactly have the desire to stake her anymore. Ever since that night, he wasn't sure if he was going out in an attempt to find her again, or to find Darla and Angelus. Either way, he had a better chance if he was alone.

Walking the streets, he got a couple odd looks, probably in part because of his leather jacket when it was 105 degrees out, but he didn't feel the heat, but also probably due to his hair. Whatever it was, Spike had never cared before, so why start now? As he walked, he turned down an alley, keeping an ear and eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

Damon Salvatore was tired. Not physically, it took a hell of a lot to make the centuries old vampire physically tired, but tired of behaving. He didn't behave, it wasn't in his genetic coding, it hadn't been even when he was human. Even back then it had been all booze, cards, and whores, that was his style and it didn't change too much after becomig a vampire. Perhaps a bit, throwing in some blood and mayhem, but overall he was easy to please as long as he was not expected to be good. Needless to say being on his best behavior with so many pretty necks attached to pretty girls was driving him absolutely insane. It was making him even crazier being in smelling range of Bonnie and unable to "terrorize" the girl. It was one of his current favorite past times, playing with the girl. So now he was out.

He didn't see the harm in picking a girl up in a bar, seducing her, influencing her a little, getting a small bite. Just a small one, to help take the edge off. The other vampires floating around Zenner or whatever the hell this place was called may have taken to their bullshit blood in a bag but Damon had been drinking blood for five centuries and he preferred the real shit, straight from the source. It was like trying to replace a bottle of wine from his cellar in Florance with a five dollar boxed wine from a convinence store, it just didn't cut it, even if it got you drunk like you wanted it to.

He licked his lips as he pulled off the girl, wound already healing, no trace of blood. He pulled the shoulder of her dress back up, covering the wound. He took her chin in his hand and led her eyes back to his, staring deeply into them. "You met me in the bar, we came back here and made out, you had to go home. You said you would call me but forgot to get my number. Repeat that."

"I met you in a bar, we came back here and made out but I had to go. I said I would call you but I forgot to get your number," she repeated in a monotone voice, her expression blank.

He released her and stepped back into the shadows. "Go." She turned, blue dress invisible until she stepped into the street light and was heading down the street. This was much better. He straightened his black button down and stepped out of the shadows. That was when he caught the scent. Not human, not animal, and not a vampire like he. Something different. No heartbeat, no sense of body heat, but not a corpse. He walked a few steps, looking around. "Who's creeping up on me?" he asked, voice full of amused music. "Do I have a stalker? I will come out to play if you only ask."

Spike had heard the unmistakble sound of a heart when blood is being drained. The sound of someone drinking. The scent of someone who wasn't quite human. Since arriving in this Las Vegas, Spike had familarized himself with the different scents of the various vampires who had been here. The Sparkle Vamps had a different scent then Godric and his vampires. He hadn't run into the newer set of vamps that had shown up after the Fang Gang and Harmony and not living in the Zenner buildings anymore, he hadn't caught their scent yet. However, he knew that this vampire wasn't Godric or the other vamp he lived with and none of the Sparkle Vamps were currently there, so it was definitly one of the newer ones. He saw the girl, seemingly fine, before he heard the voice.

"I only stalk blond Slayers." Spike smirked as he got closer, "And in case you weren't aware there's a no biting policy here." Unless you were Angelus or Darla that is.

"I heard, though I rarely follow policy. She was still walking, and she's headed straight home for a good night's rest and a morning of regret when she realizes she didn't satisfy my other urges," he said with a slow, twisted smile. So this man was a vampire, though one unlike any he had ever met. And a flaming Billy Idol rip off. Really? There were more impressive musicians to impersonate. "What are you, the Vampire Sheriff?" he asked, stopping in front of the vampire, eyeing him slowly. Damon could take him easily. He was shorter than the blond, but Damon had the advantage of age and fresh human blood in his veins.

He'd yet to meet another vampire, and one that was different from he was normally meant an Old One, but there was not that level of power radiating from this man, not like it had with Klaus, or even Katherine. "Maybe you're just a little jealous. Why not go grab a bite? It's not like you have to kill to feed. Then just simply erase her memory. You can do that, can you not?" he questioned, his hand turning slightly and his ring glinting under the street light.

Spike was definitly not a Billy Idol rip off, Billy Idol had stolen his look from Spike, thank you very much. Listening to the other vampire, he had the sick feeling that this is what he'd sounded like when he'd first come to Sunnydale, not that he acted much different now, but he was far more aware of how he acted now, perhaps it was in part of his soul. Whatever it was, this guy was already getting on his nerves.

"Vampire Sheriff? Harldy." Spike snorted, shaking his head, "That role belongs to Godric. I just happen to live in a house full of Vampire Slayers and wouldn't want to see you on the other end of one of their stakes. Well, unless you deserve it." Erase her memory? Yeah, this vamp was definitly different from the Sparkle Vamps and Godric's, "No, I'm afraid I can't brainwash people."

Damon was well aware that his behavior was not deemed socially acceptable, and certainly not in this town, but the fact was he didn't really care. He rarely killed, usually only in self-defense, and he had his own moral codes about children, about how things should go down. Most people just never saw otherwise.

"No reason to stake me. They enjoy it, I make sure they do, and I don't leave bodies lying around. I don't know what everyone is so worried about, we're vampires. We drink blood, it is what we do. I am not killing anyone so do me a favor, and go stalk someone with less self control. I have been doing this for a long time and I am not going to turn into a rampaging psychopath. In fact I normally kill vampires who do that, purely because they are in my territory." He was annoyed. He did not like being ordered around, especially by a vampire he had never met. Damon Salvatore answered to no one. "Shame, it is a useful talent to have. It has kept me in happy whores for centuries now."

He looked down, checking his watch. "If you will excuse me, I think I am going to see if I can find someone to satisfy my other urges before retiring for the night and then going to search for a friend of mine I plan on annoying."

Yeah, this guy was definitly as cocky, or more so, then he used to be in the beginning. Only difference here was this guy didn't seem like a newbie. Spike could sense that he was centuries old, older than him and that annoyed him even more.

"Well technically, you're in my bloody territory." Spike had been one of the first vampires to show up in this Las Vegas, with the exception of Eric and the Sparkle Vamps, but none of them were there now, so technically this was his territory. "Which means, I can't let you do that." If he wasn't going to find Angelus or Darla tonight, he was going to atleast, keep this guy from hurting anyone.

Damon snorted. "Your territory? Please. I was walking this earth before your miserable parent's parent's were thoughts. I really have no tolerance for other vampires. I can't feed off of you, you're rarely fun to play with and quite frankly you just irritate me. Do me a favor and move before I move you," he growled, his patience wearing thin now. The last vampire to talk to him like that had been dragged to hell by hundreds of Civil War soldiers. He wondered vaguely if that was an option.

He tapped his fingers impatiently on his arms as he looked at the vampire. "And what is with this look? Are you trying to strike fear into preppys everywhere, or did you fall into a vat of bleach?"
