Who: Chloe Sullivan and Kon
When: Tonight
What: Visiting Chloe at the hospital
Where: Chloe's hospital room
Progress: In Progress

True to his word, it had only taken Kon about two minutes to get from the Zenner building to the hospital and he was in luck to find that Chloe's window was open, just enough that he was able to lift it a little and knock on the frame. Normally he would have gone through the door, but it was late so technically visiting hours were over.

"I'm here to see a Miss. Chloe Sullivan." He grinned as he hovered outside the window, waiting for Chloe to aknowledge his presence and invite him in. Yeah, she'd already asked him to come by, but he did have some manners, surprisingly. They must have rubbed off from Aunt Martha.

While Oliver was having a hard time leaving her side-not that Chloe wanted him to, she had finally gotten him to agree to go home to grab some things for her. Sure they could have asked Bart to do it but she was worried about him, Virgil too. Kids shouldn't have to deal with this type of stress or trauma. It was times like these that she was reminded half of the Justice League is underage. Then there was Conner, the one who found her and from what she was told, led the League and another group to her rescue. When she heard the foot steps she thought one of the vamps had returned to torture her a little more. It was through heavy lidded eyes that she saw the outlines of many and the flicker of a familiar green before she felt safe enough to let her guard down and fall back to sleep.

Now she knew she was safe. Still with Oliver gone she couldn't help but be ready to jump out of bed and run. The IVs they had hooked up to her were working well, not a 100% but that wouldn't stop her from running in the face of danger. Bolting is what she almost did when she saw someone outside her window.

"Conner." The tension in her shoulders eased a little, a familiar face. A friendly one. But her body's guard wasn't easily agreeing with her mind. "You going to come in?" It was strange. Really strange. Okay flat out weird to see him hovering outside her window. She had to be how far off the ground? That was right though, Conner flies like the Clark from his universe. But still... Clark always used the door. He could have too. "I think someone might notice you if you stay out there the whole visit."

"I thought you'd never ask." Kon smiled as he slid the window open enough to fly in, his boots making a soft thud on the linolium as he touched down. "I would have come in through the door, but there's a mean looking nurse out in the nurse's station and she probably would have yelled at me." He was happy to see that Chloe was in much better shape than she had been when they'd found her. Stupid, cowardly vampires, leaving her there. Oh how he wanted to punch one of them in the face. Or both of them.

Chloe's laugh was quiet, short. Her body still ached in ways that she only felt when recovering from death. The memories of the past few days that easily could've been a few weeks, a month, were something she was trying not to think about. "I think I know what nurse you're talking about. She got really huffy about Oliver staying with me overnight. That we must be up to no good because I wanted a private room." If they hadn't won the battle then it would've been a war getting her to stay in their care alone. "Luckily we're getting really good at faking that we are married." Explaining Conner to the nurse though? That would be a whole other fiasco.

Studying his face she figured out what was on his mind. "Big let down to find just me? I thought I was a valuable asset."

Kon laughed as he took a seat in the chair closest to the bed, which he assumed Oliver had occupied earlier. "Yeah, she looks like the type to get huffy over something like that. Is it a job requirement for nurses, to be mean?" Not that Kon had really met a ton of nurses of course.

At her question, he shook his head, "Not a let down. I just really have the urge to mangle their faces." He cracked his knuckles as he spoke and quirked an eyebrow at Chloe, a tiny smirk upon his lips.

The only answer she had was a shrug. Over the years she had met a lot of nurses, some kind and some that were extremely rude or angry. But thinking about the nurses only reminded her how much time she had spent at Metropolis General the past year, particularly the time spent with a misunderstood paramedic who ended up being the only person capable of killing Clark Kent. At least that's what she read when she found out with Bart that their world wasn't real here. Regardless of how Davis Bloome had ended his life thinking of him was still a tender spot in her heart. Some people just don't do well with second chances.

"Sorry to tell you but their faces are already mangled. When they turn.. at least." Taking a deep breath she continued on with something she had been wanting to ask since she woke up and knew she was safe. "Is there other people missing now? They don't seem like the type to stop feeding because they can't have a quiet and peaceful meal."

"I don't know. There's been stuff in the paper about people going missing, but it's hard to tell if they've been killed or kidnapped." Kon really hoped that either, they could find these vamps and get rid of them for good, or the people who seemed to know them could take care of them. If Virgil could be kidnapped, then what was stopping them from getting Tim? Or Bart? He wasn't too worried about himslef, because vampires couldn't hurt him, but as Virgil had said, the others weren't Superboy.

Chloe couldn't even think about Angelus and Darla getting their hands..and fangs on the other kids. Especially Bart. While she had slowly been growing to like Virgil and what she has learned of Tim, Bart was already a long time member of the Justice League family. The well behaved yet trouble maker of the group. The same age as Victor, Chloe always somehow felt he was the baby. In no way did that reflect his personality, abilities or maturity but she always looked out for him. Naturally she was drawn to protect him from the life he once led. It was a running joke that Chloe and Oliver were the mom and dad in the league. Thinking of one of the vampires putting Bart through the hell they put her through would make her blood boil and run off to do stupid things without thinking.

Luckily, he hadn't mentioned it. And it was something she knew to keep out of her mind just like she had tried to do with the innocent civilians. They couldn't be ignored now. Not if the media had gotten wind of it. It wasn't a what if anymore, it was fact. "Are there any leads on where they've gone now? Oliver said those other people that were with you guys when you found me know the vampires and have dealt with them before. Are they having any luck hunting them down and stopping them?"

"I don't know. I don't really know if anyone has kept in contact with them since we found you." Kon said, running a hand through his thick black hair, "If anyone was keeping in touch with them, it would be Babs." He listened briefly to the movements in the hallway, making sure that the evil nurse wasn't making her rounds or anything.

"Who are they?" Asking as she pressed the button to prop her bed up a little more so she would be comfortable. As comfortable as one can be in an uncomfortable hospital bed. "But you're right she probably has kept in contact with them." Babs did the same thing for their group that Chloe does for the League. Or so she heard. Chloe would keep in touch with them, so Bab's must be too. One had to wonder what the people would do to the vampires. They have dealt with them before, so why were they still alive terrorizing people? Could they be killed? Or were they just from a different time?

"I guess they're vampire slayers." Kon had been waiting for Oliver to arrive at the Warehouse when the brunette slayer, whose name he'd found out was Faith had arrived with three other girls. It turns out they had found the warehouse before Kon and had gone back for weapons because Angelus and Darla had still been there, but by the time Kon had found it, they had split. So six of them had charged into the warehouse to find just Chloe there.
