Mentor and Alive & Kicking
When Harry Potter took the job of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts, he didn't think for one moment that Headmaster Snape would be the one to help him through the pitfalls of his first term. Yet it was Snape who'd volunteered to mentor Harry. Freed of his service to two masters and his lingering guilt, Snape proved to be demanding but unexpectedly fair to Hogwarts' latest professor.
Putting aside all their old animosities, they soon found themselves falling into an amicable working relationship. And, strange as it was, Harry had to admit that he rather liked it.
Fandom Crossover, Time Travel and Historical
Their relationship became so good that it was Harry who Snape called on for help when, wards and Unplottability notwithstanding, an unexplained Muggle artifact suddenly appeared in the Hogwarts grounds.
"How could a police box possibly-" Snape was beginning, when a door opened in the strange object and a dark-haired young man in glasses and a blue Muggle suit beckoned Snape and Harry inside.
"Come in, come in," he said enthusiastically, "I'm the Doctor, and there's something I'd like to show you..."
Seconds later, they found themselves in Belgium, attending a ball on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo.
Crossdressing
"I loved those clothes in 1815," Harry said wistfully, when he and Severus were once more in the Headmaster's office.
"These, you mean?" asked Severus offhandedly, with a surreptitious flick of his wand.
Harry glanced down; his eyes widened at the gorgeous dress he was wearing. He started to say he'd really meant the soldiers' uniforms, but catching sight of the warm appraisal in Severus' dark eyes, he instead asked innocently, "Have you Transfigured my underwear, too?"
"Yes, I always do things thoroughly," murmured Severus, taking Harry in his arms and proceeding to demonstrate just how thorough he could be.
