Who: Ben and Angela
When: 11th December, 2008
Where: Forks, Washington
What: Ben's coming home for winter break and Angela is excited to see someone who doesn't live in her house.
Rating: Probably PG, but I'll TBD it just to be safe.

Angela's stomach had been full of butterflies all day. After roughly three years of being a relationship most people would probably not be so excited to see their significant other, but Angela couldn't help it when it came to Ben. There were so many things about Ben that she'd missed since she'd been home. His technical "geek" speak, his comic book collections- all those little things that made up her Ben. Of course, her mood was spreading. Her mom had helped her clean up the house while Josh and Isaac were behaving much better than usual.

Another reason, although she would never admit, and almost hated herself for thinking it, was because she was in dire need of human contact outside of her family members. There were only so many times she could watch Amélie or take the boys to the park or Port Angeles. She did all she could to ease things for her mother, but it was tiring. She had almost forgotten how boring Forks could sometimes be. However, Angela couldn't bring herself to complain about it.

"So, when's he going to be here?" Mrs. Weber asked, eyeing her daughter with a small grin.

"Am I really that obvious?" Angela sighed, tipping a stack of old newspapers in the trash.

"Honey, I haven't seen you bounce around this much since Prom. If you clean this house anymore I don't think I'll be able to recognize it."

Angela sighed and embraced her mother. Slightly surprised, but used to Angela's affection, Mrs. Weber hugged her back.

"I'm nervous, Mom."

"Must be serious," she replied. Angela rolled her eyes and skipped off to make sure the boys weren't having a mud war in the backyard. It wasn't going to be much longer now, she could feel it.

Ben had been very tempted to put his schoolwork on hold and come back home with Angela when she left, but pretty much everyone he knew told him that it would just be better if he finished out the semester and wait for winter break to see Angie. Ben didn't like the thought of being so far away from Angela for that amount of time, but there wasn't much he could do for it. It would be a pain to take the classes he was currently in over again, when he was so close to being done.

So he waited, rather impatiently, though he was sure to text, call, or E-Mail his girlfriend at least once a day. It was almost like they weren't separated, but he wouldn't have been looking so miserable the past few weeks if that had been the case. The drive back home didn't take more than a few hours and he only stopped by his house to unload his stuff and say hi to his parents, before he headed over to Angela's place.

His Dodge Neon slid into an empty parking space in Angela's driveway a mere half hour after his return to Forks. He knew he shouldn't look so happy right then, not with the death of Mr. Weber being so fresh, but he couldn't suppress the grin on his face as he knocked on the front door. A pie, yet another dessert baked by Mrs. Cheney for the Weber family, was in his hands as he waited.
