Who: Felix and Dezirae Koroma
When: 11th December, 2008
Where: Forks, Washington
What: Werewolf hunting!
Rating: PG-13

He had stopped breathing approximately three minutes and forty-two seconds ago. His target had stepped off the motel property then and he had been tailing her since. She was now in sight, but he knew that if he moved any closer, the target would sense him and make a run for it. Felix had tested out the boundaries of how close he could come near the werewolves in his early days of surveillance and this was it, if he wanted to keep his target from going on her guard.

But he would need to be much, much closer in order to do what he needed to do. So Felix waited, following silently as the woman moved through the town, until he could get this wolf alone. He wouldn't need stealth as long as he got her alone.

A small tranquilizer gun was tucked against his skin and the waistband of his jeans. No, he wasn't going to kill this mutt, but she wasn't going to know what hit her either.

After a seemingly pointless attempt at finding the La Push shapeshifters on their own land, Dez followed her senses to the other shapeshifters like her who were in the area. She hadn't yet gotten a chance to speak to them, but being near them felt more comforting than being alone and hugely confused. There was no reason to believe that there was anyone after her now, and yet it was extremely difficult to get her encounter with the vampires in Africa out of her mind. So much blood, so many people dead...and all because of her. Because the two of them thought that there was something special about her. What had they said? Guard dog to a dog? Of course, she hadn't had a clue what they were referring to.

Luckily enough she came out of the encounter alive and gotten herself to Forks, Washington. And that brings us full circle. This night, she had decided to some more exploring of the town. Sitting still was pretty much impossible at this point. So she was out and about and even if it was night, there was nothing that gave her an inkling of something less than good going on. Her senses weren't picking up anything strange other than the presence of the other shapeshifters started to fade as she got farther and farther from the motel.

Dez had her hands tucked into the pockets of her jeans as she walked. Her dark hair got picked up a bit in a breeze. Looking around, she noticed that there were fewer and fewer people around as she went on. But she didn't think anything of it.

Felix jumped from rooftop to rooftop before finally making his way to the ground level as they left the more occupied areas of Forks. Soon, unknown to her, it was just the two of them while they left the occupants of Forks in the more crowded areas of the town.

The vampire was feeling deliciously smug, because he had recognized the scent and features of this particular mutt from his time in Africa. She had been the one to get away. Tonight, she wouldn't be so lucky. Tonight, she was going to wish that he and Heidi had caught her so that they could have finished her off then. What was to come for the African werewolf wasn't going to be anything remotely pleasant.

Waiting until they were far enough away from any real help, Felix silently stepped into her range of senses as he lifted the tranq gun to train it on her position. He steadily walked closer until he was sure she knew he was there, because he definitely wanted to toy with her before she was captured.

"Well, well, well, little mutt. Fancy meeting you here," he drawled, eyes glittering dangerously as he entered her line of sight and stared her down.

Soon enough it seemed like she was all alone in her wandering. Not that it was something to mind. Dez was more than used to spending time alone with her thoughts as her only companion. There was never sense of danger in this solitary state, but more a sense of peace. Crowds of people tended to upset the moment.

She was sure that this night would be completely and totally normal...but that was before she heard footsteps and the familiar overly sweet scent permeated the air. Vampire. Her walking slowed and she was much more alert than she had been moments ago. At least if it was one vampire then she would stand more of a chance. With two or more, it would have been impossible.

Dez really couldn't help but scowl some as she saw the vampire now in her line of sight. That stare, those red eyes. And that voice. She knew this one. It was the male vampire who had almost killed her in Africa. But what was he doing here? "Hm...so it seems that a little piece of Hell has decided to follow me. How very wonderful." Her eyes looked over the gun in his hands, recognizing its design. It was a tranquilizer gun.

"What business is it that you have with me?"

It was a shame that she was so pretty. Felix was more than certain that if he bit her, the poison would kill her instead of changing her. Maybe the masters would let him try, once they had her tied up and away from the Cullens and the other mutts. If they had more than one dog, it wouldn't matter much if they lost one to experimentations.

"I don't think you're in the position to question me, little mutt," he said, teeth glinting as his lips curved up into a smirk. He held his gun a little more steadily as he tilted his slightly to the left. "But I'll answer yours if you answer mine: How far do you think you can run before I get you?"

Toying with them was the best part of the hunt. He would half to remember to keep from killing her, in his excitement.
