I had some health issues during the time warp game plot and didn't feel up to getting online and posting, so I'm doing some back dated entries for teen Des in his journal. XD I may do a couple of Miranda, Luc, Calvinia and Steffan as well.

Fucking Dell chargers, man. This is the SECOND that's just up and failed on me in less than a year. And they're not going to replace it because it's been over 3 months since I got this one. SIGH.

I've just ordered a new one, but I won't be able to use the laptop for probably 3-5 days depending on when it's delivered and my desktop blows major ass. So, I likely won't be around much for the next few days. Blame Dell and their shitty adapters. Fucking A. I was hoping to actually do some RPing today. :/

So, I know I fail majorly. I've been looking forward to the time-jump plot for ages . . . and then completely missed it. I have a legitimate excuse, though! Since Monday night of last week, I have been iced in; that winter storm that hit everywhere through the midwest? Yeah, it sucked. I have been stuck without power, cable, internet, all of it since Tuesday. As it stands, we finally have power back at the house, but we are still without cable or internet, so I'm only able to be online while I'm at school and the computer lab is open. I'll try and update whenever I have internet back, but we don't know when that will be.

I miss everyone :(

Okay, I knew this was coming, but now it's officially here. It's time for my hiatus from eeeeverything. We have the opera coming up, and starting tomorrow I'm going to be in rehearsals for hours on end, until the performances >_< So my online time is going to be severely cut down, until this is over. SO, from the 16th - 24th, I am officially on hiatus. This effects the following characters:

I'm working on a character who's ability is friction negation and I'm having a hell of time coming up with a codename for him. I wasn't completely happy with 'Slick' or 'Slide' or any of their synonyms @ thesaurus.com, though 'Slide' is growing on me. But I was also considering making it a Native American word, specifically Comanche because the character is Comanche+White Man, but didn't like anything I found that way either. The PB's part Cherokee and that language actually has an online English-Cherokee dictionary but I didn't find anything I was happy with there, either. More info on the character: he's from West Texas, grew up on a family-run ranch, middle child, served in the Army in both Pakistan and Iraq, got out as a Staff Sergeant at age 32-ish after the building his squad was sitting on in Tikrit went boom, and is currently a moderately successful indie-ish southern rock solo artist.

Hi guys, it's Jewels.

This is Roxanne Whitaker, but you can call her Roxy, or Thanatos if that's your thing. Her PB is Mary Louise Parker if you couldn't tell. She's kind of a country hippie, if there's such a thing. She's been all over, and she's in her mid forties so if any of the characters want to have known her when they were younger, that's cool with me. She's a hero type, so y'know she would have hung out with those guys back in the day.

She can see dead people, hence her journal name. She just talks to them and sees them. For a while she worked with the police solving murders or at least helping. She knows there's a lot of fakers out there, and she just kind of ignores them. Now she's got her own television show where she helps people who want to talk to their relatives. It's corny and she knows it's kind of stupid but it's good money. And she does help. But she doesn't make shit up. If the person wants to talk to someone who isn't there, then she tells them that.

Oh and she's been in a nut house a couple of times, but she's not really crazy people just think she is. Like her family.

As a Holiday present to the community, we wanted to let you know that the character cap has officially been raised to ten characters. He's also recently back from a tour in Afghanistan, where he got shot in the left buttock. He will proudly display this scar to anyone who asks.

Sam (not Samantha, Sammo, or Sammy, please) was born with telescopic vision and mechanical empathy. Which means that he was the perfect candidate to be the spotter part of a sniper team - he's got eagle-eye zoom, and he can tell if a gun is about to misfire, or if your carburetor has snakes living in it, or whatever. Come say hi! He's friendly, and he wants to grope your ass.
