Art Imitating Life?
I find it ironic that I'm starting a huge lace project and I'm reading Eldest by Christopher Paolini. One of the main characters, Queen Nasuada, is selling lace produced by magicians (quick and easy like!) to drum up quick funds for survival and war.
I think it unconsciously inspired me... although I know it won't be quick and easy to knit a lace stole with size 3 needles!
And if you're wondering, I'm reading young adult fiction so I can be well-versed in the story when my kid reads it. I hope he gets up the nerve to start this trilogy (Eragon), but he's only eight and I am patient. :)
Besides, it's a good read!
