Still waiting...
Well, remember I said I wanted to knit Aspen Grove for the spring knitalong, but was waiting for the yarn from handpaintedyarn.com. It has now been almost 3 weeks since ordering, and I don't have my yarn yet. In fact, scratch that, they haven't posted the yarn yet. This is not a happy knitter. I am in the UK. I don't mind waiting a while for delivery to catch up with itself. But I do expect my package to be posted after 3 weeks. I emailed last week to ask about it but they just said it would be posted sometime this week *waits* *grumbles*
In other news, I am now blocking my Central Park Not-Hoodie on my brand new sparkly blocking board. Actually, it's a foam playmat from the Early Learning Centre, but all that matters is that it's foamy (and brightly coloured, and interlockable, and has animals!). Anyway, here's the back and front pieces blocking. In hindsight, I should have done the 3 needle bind off on the other side and after blocking, and maybe left the collar until later too. Still, I'll know for next time.
Kiri is coming along reasonably well now that I've put in lifelines. I am halfway through repeat 2 of 8 on the second chart. I worked it out mathematically too, so if 8 repeats isn't right I'll know before I cast off and block it.
My final project at the moment is a bookmark for the swap I posted about earlier. I can't really say anything about it until the thing has been sent off, but I will say I am making it on size 0 needles with sock yarn, and the shaping is ridiculously teeny.
Once all the rest is done, I have had a request for an adipose for a friend. I need fewer WIPs, really. I still haven't found the courage to cast on the never ending sleeves of Andoa.
