The Cat Who....
Just read (again) The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell. I just love those books when I want something to read that doesn't require a lot of thought. Hmmmm, "junk food" reading I call it. Won't change my life in a any way shape or form, doesn't have a super deep plot, etc. However, the characters are charming, and she describes for me a kind of Utopia in small town living.

I wanna be James Qwilleran when I grow up. *wink*

Working on a Douglas Preston book I talked my husband into reading now. Something with a bit of meat to it. And also looking ahead on my Shelfari list (YE GODS! I love that web site!)to see what else I'm going to read. I've discovered the wonderous time of just after my daughter falls asleep to read.

And also looking ahead on my Shelfari list

I figured out, that if I add roughly 100-125 books a day, in 2 weeks or so, I might have all my books on there.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to just lose myself in that website for an hour or so. I put up over 100 books pretty fast. LOL

I like "junk food" reading. I usually call it "vacation reading" but your term is better.

Yeah. I don't go on vacation much (actually not in years!) so I refer to it as junk food for my mind. LOL Going on vacation in October to a wedding in Cape Cod. I'm so excited as I'll finally get to see my husband's hometown.

I think of it as "comfort reading", you know, like "comfort food".
Inspired by your post, I went to the library & borrowed The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell - I hadn't read it yet, or the one written before that, which was out on loan.
