Hello, everyone! I'm Dee and I've got two kids coming into this game (for now :)) that I thought I'd introduce.
1). Kate Beckett [![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
katebex] from Castle. Most people call her Beckett [even her husband], but she also doesn't mind if you call her Kate. She's 37, a native New Yorker, and before she got pulled onto the Enterprise she was the Captain of the NYPD's 12th Precinct after 12 years as a homicide detective with one of the top case clearances in the city. If you looked up information on her, you'd also find out that she's married to a mystery writer named Richard Castle, that he also served as her work partner for the past eight years, and that he's based a series of books on her and the cases they've worked together.
She's been on the Enterprise since January 10 and will be (or possibly is already - that's a question I need to ask the mod) working in the tactical and security units on the ship. Being that she's a cop she's going to naturally distrust anyone that comes through with a shady past until they prove themselves otherwise, but once you get past that layer of skepticism she's pretty great. There's a pretty free spirit underneath all that NYPD training, you just have to wait for it to emerge. She loves a good book, coffee, and red wine and uses any excuse to wear high heels. She also lives in D-23 with Sameen Shaw.
2) Ginny Weasley [ginnerly] from Harry Potter. Ginny is 22 and coming from nearly three years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. She's single and had been playing quidditch as a starting chaser for the Holyhead Harpies in Wales before she got pulled onto the Enterprise. She's coming in the day that the game starts, and given her upbringing she's going to be freaked out and confused because none of this stuff is familiar to her and no one she knows is around. (Well, she knows Peter Pettigrew, but the less said about that the better.)
Once Ginny gets settled in, she'll be pretty social since no one on the ship is a Death Eater (aside from Peter) and that's basically the only sort of person that she shuns by default. She'll ask lots of questions, try to avoid doing basic "muggle" things by using her magic, and try not to whine about missing her family and friends. Eventually, Ginny will end up working in the medical unit, but I'm going to take my time in getting her to that point. She lives in D-6 with Caitlin Snow.
I'm open to pretty much any plot for either of these girls, and I'm considering also bringing in Kara Danvers/zor-El from the tv version of Supergirl and would also be interested in discussing plot for her with anyone. The best way to contact me is either through the Drop Boxes that are on both of the girls journal pages (comments are screened), via a comment on this post, or via email [musicallymarked@gmail.com]. If you contact me by email, it might take a bit for me to respond as that address forwards to my main account and gmail isn't always prompt at sending them over, but I will respond asap. It's also worth noting that I work weird hours and I'm usually doing just that during peak RP hours, but Google Docs exist for a reason!
