Who: The Dark Lord and the first generation
What: The Dark Mark burns
Where: The Dark Lord's secret hideout
When: 11pm 13 July 1980

Status: OOC/IC log
Rating: PG

He sat alone in near darkness, a monochrome vision illuminated only by a stream of moonlight that insinuated itself through a crack in boarded up windows. His ramshackle throne might as well have been gold and bejewelled for all its visibility, and he sat upon it like a king -- no, a god. His plans were coming neatly together. The wizarding world quaked beneath his rule. He had absolute power ...

But.

There was the ever-niggling reminder of the prophecy. Of a child that would be born (soon) who might dare take his power from him. He had to know the risks. He had to eliminate them. He could call only on his most trusted and give them no reason for his plans.

And when He was ready, He called His oldest and most loyal servants to Him...

Atticus was sitting in his study at Rodolphus's house, working on the plans for the alternative paper when he felt the mark burn in his arm. He immediately abandoned his notes and went outside the wards to apparate to the Dark Lord's side. After paying his respects, he stood and silently waited for the others to arrive.

As the mark began to burn on Iago's arm, he told Anastasia he had something important to attend to, and he left without further explanation. Once outside of the wards around Rodolphus' house, he apparated to His side and paid his respects to the Dark Lord, after which he joined Atticus in his wait for the others to respond to His summons.

Rodolphus's arrival was quick and mostly quiet. He knelt before the Dark Lord and then took his place in the circle around him, awaiting instruction.

Aeneas was there before all y'all bitches except Dolph. After paying his respects to the Dark Lord, he gloated a bit silently about the lack of women there and then stood around waiting patiently, which he expressed by looking grumpy.

Graley let out a string of curses when he felt the mark burn. But, he got up and walked outside of the wards and apparated. He paid his respects before he moved back and crossed his arms over his chest. The wind changed and his scowl was permanent.

The Dark Lord revealed little of his true purpose to the first generation, but stated, succinctly and clearly, that they were to find any and all women who were due to have children before July's end, and see to it that those births did not occur. He would give no further explanation.

Nott would have raised his hand and asked for clarification - just witches or Muggles as well, and then if the answer was "no" to Muggle women if he wanted any children born to Muggle parents whose names showed up in the Book that the Department of Education has to also be killed.

The Dark Lord would state that children of witches only were to be considered.

Walden showed up alongside the others after making sure his sister was safe and in bed. He paid his respects like everyone else and then stepped back and listened as the Dark Lord made his wishes known and Aeneas asked for clarifications. He would have just nodded and accepted the mission, thankful that his own wife was barely pregnant.
