Beth couldn't help but tear up as Remus started speaking as she knew just how much Marlene had meant to Remus. The two of them had been so close, and Beth had looked forward to seeing the two of them have children and a family, even if she hadn't thought that it would be any time soon and now they never would have that, and the thought of Remus being alone like that, and that she and Marlene and Lily would never just do drinks, made her get all teary again.

She moved over to give Remus a super tight hug, hoping he wouldn't be angry for her insisting that he go to the safehouse. And then she went to find Lily to stay near her.
