WHAT Narcissa's Baby Shower!!

WHERE A Greenhouse by a waterfront

VENUE: A Greenhouse with lots of beautiful flowers by a waterfront. The theme is, and was even before Draco was born, green.

MENU: The first course is fruit: Macedoine. The second course is soup: cold chicken bouillon (yay for summer and cold soups!). Third course is salmon and the fourth was a nice cucumber salad! Refreshments were iced tea.

DESSERTS!: Yum. There was a large cake in the form of presents and several cupcakes. Guests were encouraged to take some home for their children/family.

FAVORS: There were daisy placemarkers, following the whole flower-y theme, little chocolate eggs, and a book was left by the entrance table with an extremely large variety of coloured ink. Guests could write a little something in the book for both Narcissa and Draco. And why yes, that is a picture of Narcissa holding bb in the book!

Julianne arrived quite early and was making sure everything was in place alongside Lucinda. She wore a yellow chiffon dress and a bright smile along to go with it.

She would've been trying very hard to make this the best baby shower ever for Narcissa. Juls kept her conversations strictly on Narcissa, Draco, or simply just the day and venue. She would avoid conversations regarding the Burkes and would love to come interrupt your gossipy conversations with "have you signed the baby book yet?"

Juls gave Cissa mostly clothing for Draco. Including a bb bath robe, shoes, sandals, socks, bb swimming trunks :D, and a variety of enchanted toys! <3

Lucinda (wearing a black ribbon in her hair in honour of mourning Ben) was with Julianne, checking final details and ensuring that everything was simply perfect for Narcissa.

Although she had taken quite a stand against Mrs Burke, she knew that today should be all about Narcissa and Draco, and therefore tried her best not to gossip or discuss the issue too much. The baby shower was, she hoped, an event to bring the society ladies back together so there was no need to discuss displeasing matters.

She probably spent much of her time with Hortense, Julianne, and Narcissa, but made sure to speak with Araminta about some orphanage stuff, and played good hostess and spent a little bit of time with everyone.

Lucy gave Narcissa tons of baby stuff that she had treasured when Daphne was just born like a nappie-away, unbreakable enchanted toys, and a bunch of baby clothes. She also got Narcissa a very classy baby bag for the rare occasion that Cissa carried her own things for the child (it was clearly more likely that the wet nurse would carry it, but hey, Lucy wanted to make sure that even Narcissa's entourage looked classy)

	Lucy probably whispered right back because even though she was trying, she can't really resist gossip and Livi was in on the bitchy bitch ward during the whole ordeal! She also made a point to tell Livi that her dress was simply precious! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Livi said thank you and then gushed for about give minutes about Gaius taking her shopping. Then she remembered Conrad and went back to gossiping about the Burkes in soft whispers -- until Julianne probably came up and reminded her about the baby book. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Narcissa was thrilled to be there, of course, and amazed at the time and effort Juls and Lucinda had put into this! She spent most of the time sitting, since she doesn't feel that well, but was happy to socialise with everyone after such a long time (she definitely wanted to hear all the news... the good kind, not treason kind >>) and show off Draco!

Draco was generally sleepy and a little fussy, but the nanny didn't have much to do than stand around at the back and try to look useful, since Narcissa wouldn't let her carry him.

	Lavinia arrived with Evangeline and was very excited to be at a social occasion with some of the more prestigious women in society. She cooed over baby Draco and asked if she could hold him, just for a minute. Generally soft-spoken and timid, she seemed to shine in these surroundings, though she hung by Eva frequently. Anastasia was there, of course, and full of all sorts of new mother advice for Narcissa. She was wearing an age appropriate dress she had bought new, since, you know, her whole wardrobe got burninated. She definitely cooed over Draco and said what a beautiful baby he was (though she didn't say he wasn't as beautiful as Demetrius was!) and how handsome he would grow up to be. She wrote in his book that she knew he would grow up to be the finest gentleman his generation had to offer.

She gave Narcissa a set of sterling silver picture frames, explaining that one can never have enough places to put photographs, and tried to socialise with the younger ladies. (Eva, she was watching your eating habits carefully!)

Eva arrived with Livi and, like Livi, was beyond thrilled to be invited to such an impressive gathering. She admired the decorations, but was of course most impressed by the food spread and definitely took cupcakes home "for Walden". She cooed over Draco as well and asked to hold him. She really enjoys being social so she talked with everyone who would converse with her. And of course, she thanked Lucinda and Julianne ever so much for inviting her.

Danaë was there, wearing this dress and she was a little nervous because she still doesn't really know anyone and probably stuck pretty close to Anastasia at first but then she would have relaxed and been more of her usual social self. She would have hugged anyone who she's met before or has been nice to her in the journals, would have cooed over Draco and been especially nice to Narcissa because it's her shower and because Demetrius said she's important.

As much as baby showers are something she views as a torment suited for the seventh circle of hell, Bellatrix was there because it's Narcissa and Draco. She was wearing this dress (and yes, she's wearing a black cocktail dress to an afternoon garden party bridal shower. Judge her, she dares you. :p) She would have spent most of the time sitting with Narcissa, although she would have been polite, if a bit distant to everyone else.
