Summary: Lisa cooks breakfast for her brother, but Timothy shows up in his place.
Lisa had rolled out of bed pretty early, despite being out at Pendragon's Pub relatively late the night before. She felt a lot more relaxed than she had in awhile, and it was a nice change. One she hadn't expected. Will wasn't home from work yet, but even that didn't dampen her spirits this time. She brushed her teeth, but didn't bother to change out of her pyjamas. Nothing wrong with being laid back on the last day of her weekend.
Flipping on the wireless in her bedroom, she turned it up a little louder than necessary and padded barefoot into the kitchen. Will's cupboards were pretty bare, but at least he always tried to stock up on some basics when he knew she was coming to stay. Nonetheless, Lisa grabbed a pad of paper that was lying on the counter and started a list. She'd have a flat soon enough, but until then they needed more than eggs and toast. She rummaged in the refrigerator and found a bit of cheese, and there were a couple of potatoes stashed in the pantry. Not such a bad start to a breakfast.
Lisa sang along with a song she barely knew as she chopped the potatoes, thinking idly that she needed to owl Michael and let him know she was back in town. Maybe for good. It had been a long time since she'd let him drag her out to some small music venue or another. Her other friends, too. She wasn't sure what exactly had stopped her owling the last week, but whatever it was, it was stupid.
She laughed at herself and flicked her wand at one burner, tossing in the potatoes and adding some seasoning. A glance up at the clock told her Will would be home soon. Or she hoped so, at least. Even he couldn't work too many sixteen-hour shifts without needing a break.
