On February 13th, I will be hosting a benefit dinner at Orchids to benefit the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. Naturally dress will be black tie, and all of the proceeds from the dinner will go towards buying more supplies for the child life specialists and comfort packages for the women. I contacted the center, and I've arranged for those interested in volunteering on Valentines Day to come in and help the children make Valentines for their friends and family. Marshall, how hard do I have to twist your arm for you to bring your guitar that morning?

I finally finished the wreaths for the doors, and I have enough left over to make some for a handful of people. Audrey, Lees, Knightleys, Gigi and Marshall, yours are, of course, ready for pick up.

And, if anyone is still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for me, these little beauties would have a very good home with me. I've come to terms that wearing heels right now isn't the best, but that doesn't mean I'm going to spend the remaining months in tennis shoes.

There are some perks to being married to a wizard, and one of those is watching your neighbor's face when she sees the Halloween decorations you've put up. It's not my fault she didn't tell me she was petrified of spiders, but it's wearing polka dotted leggings for heaven's sake. It's scary chic, not deadly.

That being said, Emma, darling, are we planning a Halloween bash this year, or are you still in the honeymoon phase?

Out of curiosity, if you get kicked out of a Wal-Mart, it's just that store and not the entire chain, right?

A friend wants to know.

This is madness was not on my daily itinerary, and I'd appreciate it if someone could book me a flight back to California. I have a speech first thing tomorrow morning at UC Davis Children's Hospital and we can't afford for James to lose even a single point to that joke of a man running against him.

However, he will be getting the bill for my dry cleaning and ruined Hermès scarf. That ought to set him back a few precious campaigning dollars.
