Jack jumped at the little poke. “You devious thing! Ouch!” His voice was full of laughter as he spoke, his joy at being with her so apparent in everything he did. “Well, then I shall just have to steal you away before he can stop me,” he said, the gentle skim down his arms a lovely one. “I don’t think it’s possible to damage anything about you, snowflake. You’re perfection.”
He grinned at the sweet sound of her words, kissing her forehead and temple in turn.
Jack hadn’t given up on Anna returning. He’d not really gotten the chance to know her all that well when she’d originally arrived, but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t show up again. The new version of Blackpoint seemed even more promising, he thought. He’d noticed that groups of people seemed to arrive together, and he and Elsa hadn’t been here long, so maybe that meant they’d see Anna again. “I am, but it’s one part of my contract that I don’t mind obliging. And I know you do.”
