Bizarre OOC

So what's up, everyone?

It feels like more people are on hiatus than there are playing.

I know some of my characters are pretty woven into the fabric of things and I don't want to mess everyone up, but I'm pretty ready to pull everyone myself since for the most part I feel things are stagnating.

I guess if this would mess things up too much for anyone, speak now or hold your peace, etc

Questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, whatever.

Is everyone happy with the mass of guidelines? The big idea here was that freeform was basically dead and I missed it.

Well, now it's dead here. There's a novel to read if anyone wants to join. I am not trying to demean the work that was put into it because it is truly impressive.

What I am thinking is that I will leave my characters for PSL purposes when necessary. But if it is easier to see them all written out, I am content with that as well.

There's a great Roxy post waiting to get snatched up (I tried thinking of how I could wrangle Miki tackling it, but putting him in a biker bar mid-war seemed like too much of a stretch).

I added a couple Wanted Characters to the list. And just to save you the time of clicking, here they are verbatim.

Requester? Amber Keely runthereds (Owlet - justanowlet on AIM)
Wanted? Her step-brother, Taye.
Played By? Athletic black male in his late 20's.
Reason? Taye and Amber are strange siblings, but they're close. They have a mutually protective dynamic, and are from an unusual, but happy blended family.
Plot: I would like Taye to be a Werewolf (we need them), having been bitten four years ago while he and Amber were in college together. He has hidden this information from Amber.

Requester? Amber Keely runthereds (Owlet - justanowlet on AIM)
Wanted? A Werewolf love-interest for Amber.
Played By? Male, otherwise completely open.
Reason? This wolf (either bitten or born) is part of the Pack Amber's brother Taye was brought into within the last few years. The drama would be bringing this otherwise oblivious human into the supernatural world, the conflict between her and this new love interest, the conflict between him and Taye, and all that loveliness.

So there's a TON going on right now in September. What do you guys think about skipping the switchover this time for the sake of that?

I know we can backdate but it feels like there's a lot still needing to be wrapped up.

Okay call me silly and all that, but its been a little while since I've done anything other then one on one lines. How does one go about starting a line here? Cause I've officially got free time on my hands.

Hey there everyone, figured I'd stop in and you know actually introduce myself. So uh here I go...in a completely none awkward way I swear. Names Ty and I'm Derek's player, clearly. I'm looking for some lines and tie-ins for my boy because really without someone coming to bother him or drag him outside once and a while Derek probably won't be leaving his lab anytime soon. He's kind of a recluse like that.

Any who, I'm on AIM ( MakeItAnExpresso ) most days though until further notice I'll be unavailable on weekends - I hope to change this soon. Feel free to give me a poke, cause I'm looking forward to jumping in.

So, I know there’s a looooot of new people here since the last time swap-over, so I want to make sure everyone knows what is gonna happen tomorrow and give people a place to ask questions about it!

Basically, the comm works on double RL time. So on the 1st and 15th of every month, we open a new month to in-game play. Tomorrow, it will be June in-game and you can post threads for any day in June!

When we do the time switch-over, we invite people to comment with what their chars have been up to for the previous month (in this case, May).

Questions, comments, concerns?

There are still a few open threads that need some lovin'. I'm failing to keep up with all the ones I am already in now, so I'm out, but if you were thinking of posting another open thread, consider popping into one of the existing instead! :D

So is it just me, or does RPing in actual real time kind of suck as far as plot progression goes?

Has anyone ever seen anything done that speeds things up a little that's feasible? I think about this a ton and nothing brilliant has come to mind, but I'm up for suggestions! I would like this Aegis restructure to not ACTUALLY take real, live months to RP out :P Same with everything.

But on the same note, we don't want things to go mega-fast either.
