October 15th Who | Avalynn Dubhghail, Chaldean Aranui Where | The Chaldean's Suites What | A slightly awkward meeting, at least for Ava. When | October 15th, early afternoon
With the rigid security surrounding the Chaldean as of late, it was a wonder it had not taken longer to pass all the checks. Mikino had clearly taken nothing for granted when it came to the Chaldean's safety and while she couldn't blame him given all that had taken place, it was some what a trial on her patience. It could be chalked up, she supposed to rarely having to face such restrictions, but that was no longer going to be very relevant; not if she intended to spend more time at Court. The Palace was not Tadriel and there were far more restrictions here that she needed to keep in mind.
To be completely fair, it wasn't just the increased security that was bothersome. As she finally did enter the Chaldean's suites, Ava was still wrapped in what felt like meters of fabric which had been pulled, twisted, and cinched in a design of male ingenuity, she was sure, that had been created to limit a quick escape. Not even the familiar colors of her house could not remove the extra weight of the dress to what she was accustomed. Surely this was not something she should need to adhere to each and every day. If nothing else, she supposed, she would grow more and more accustomed to such things the longer she spent here. Her Mother would finally be able to say she had a proper daughter, much to Avalynn's chagrin.
Her clothing, however, was not the only thing that demanded her attention. This was a meeting she probably should have had several days prior, but had been putting it off. This particular shade of awkward was not her favourite colour. Of course, most would find it to be the same for them. As much as she would have wished to simply ignore the entire mess, circumstances demanded that she face it. With the Chaldean moving closer and closer to the throne, it would not to remain at odds with the woman, particularly over a misunderstanding as Mikino insisted that it was.
As she moved to greet the other woman as was expected of her, a brief thought crossed her mind. "Chaldean Aranui," she nodded, dipping her head in acknowledgement, "it would seem that we have an unfortunate habit of parting on unsteady terms."
