Andrew, Abel and Roxy The Tavern Early Afternoon Cessation of hostilities
It was pretty rare that the prospect of making Abel happy in some way felt like more trouble than it was worth. Neither of them were particularly hard to please and they seemed to share a lot of the same tastes and interests so one making the other happy usually resulted in making them both happy. In this particular situation Roxy doubted a great deal that anyone would walk away happy but it wouldn't be for lack of her trying. Abel tended to worry more than he should have, especially about her violent tendencies getting her into trouble, so she had agreed to this in an effort to ease his mind. Or so she had told herself a few times on the way to The Tavern, perhaps showing that she was bracing herself for the whole thing by being mostly silent on the ride over. She had offered up alternatives to a meeting before he had gotten in touch with Andrew but in the end it hadn't changed a thing, they had still ended up in The Tavern with Abel leading her around by their clasped hands and intertwined fingers.
She was thankful they had been sat outside at least, and were early enough to have at least one cigarette in peace. Her smuggler friend had gotten caught, leaving her with no choice but to buy legal cigarettes, which honestly weren't as fun but she made due. This current brand had a softer smoke to it and instead of running her mouth to her devastatingly handsome boyfriend she had tilted her head back and practiced blowing smoke rings. She wasn't very good at it but it saved her from having to talk to Abel about why she wasn't talking. They hadn't needed to go over it again, they had discussed it plenty while they moved in to their place, or rather she had tried to distract him from it and failed. But she was true to her word and hadn't put up a fight when it came time to go and she didn't look as if she were about to hop up and run now.
Tilting her head back down to normal she pulled down her heart-shaped sunglasses to look over the rims at Abel, "I think I can smell him coming, or someone ordered pork," Humans smelled and often tasted like pork, a fact she had shared with Abel who hadn't seemed at all thrilled with the knowledge. "Quick, smile at me, show me why I'm even bothering at all. I promise, I'll try not to purr." there were days when just his smile could get her going, today felt like one of those days, even if she wasn't pleased with what they were doing.
